For today’s post, I wanted to share my all-time favorite drugstore and high-end makeup products.
For some of the products, it was difficult to narrow them down, so I included an honorable mention as well.
Primer
Soap & Glory One Heck of a Blot Primer: This primer is my go-to since it keeps my face shine-free and helps my makeup last a little bit longer (review)
Too Faced Hangover Primer: Even though this primer is more like a moisturizer, it helps my makeup last most of the day while keeping my face moisturized (review)
Honorable Mention NYX Shine Killer: This primer keeps my face oil-free for most of the day and makes my makeup last a few hours longer (review)
Concealer
NYX HD Photogenic Concealer Wand in Porcelain and Light: This is my go-to concealer that provides full coverage for dark circles and imperfections (review)
Tarte Shape Tape Contour Concealer in Light: This concealer is full coverage and conceals any spots, and a little goes a long way
Honorable Mention NYX Wonder Pencil in Light: Even though this concealer only provides light coverage, it can touch up and correct my makeup (review)
Liquid Foundation
NYX Total Control Drop Foundation in Light: This foundation provides sheer to full coverage with a soft matte finish that lasts all day when set with powder and spray
Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Full Coverage Foundation SPF 15 in Light Beige: This is my go-to foundation. It provides full-coverage and keeps my face oil-free (review)
Honorable Mention Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Wear Foundation in 215 Buff N: This foundation is medium to full coverage and it keeps my face oil-free, but it is expensive (review)
Powder Foundation
NYX Stay Matte But Not Flat Powder Foundation in Light Beige: This is the only powder foundation I have tried that I liked. This foundation has medium coverage with a matte finish that lasts all day with a setting spray
Blush
Sleek Makeup Crème To Powder Blush in Pink Peony: This blush is a bright pink shade with a satin finish that is buildable and lasts all-day
Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blush in Sweet: This is my go-to blush. This blush is a pink shade with a shimmer finish that lasts all day (review)
Honorable Mention Soap & Glory Love at First Blush: This blush includes 3 shades that combine to a light peachy rose shade with a shimmer finish that lasts all day, but it is difficult to use the shades individually
Highlighter

BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter in Champagne Pop: Even though this highlighter cracked, it is my go-to. This highlighter is a gold shade with a shimmer finish that gives my face a natural glow (review)
Honorable Mention Too Faced Deluxe Candlelight Glow Highlighter in Rosy Glow: This highlighter includes a light pink and gold shade that combines to a rosy gold shade with a frost finish. This highlighter gives my face a natural glow, but the packaging feels cheap

Honorable Mention Too Faced Shadow Insurance Anti-Crease Eye Shadow Primer: This eyeshadow primer makes my eyeshadow last all day, but it does not include an applicator like the Urban Decay Primer Potion (review)

Honorable Mention Tarte Tartelette Amazonian Clay Matte Palette: This palette includes 12 shades with a matte finish. The shades have great pigment and can be used for multiple looks (review)
Single Eyeshadow

Urban Decay Eyeshadow in Midnight Cowboy: This eyeshadow is a champagne shade with a shimmer finish that has good pigment, but it has a bit of fallout

Kat Von D Deluxe Studded Kiss Lipstick in Muse: This is my go-to lipstick. This lipstick is a peachy nude shade with a shimmer finish that is long-lasting for a regular lipstick
Honorable Mention W7 Butter Kiss Lipstick in Candy Floss: This lipstick is a bright pink shade with a satin finish. This lipstick is moisturizing, but it only lasts a few hours before fading
Liquid Lipstick
NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Stockholm: This is my go-to liquid lipstick. This lip cream is a light peach shade with a matte finish that lasts most of the day without drying out my lips (review)
KVD Beauty Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Lolita: This lipstick is a rose brown shade with a matte finish that lasts all day and is mostly transfer-proof (review)
Honorable Mention Urban Decay Vice Liquid Lipstick Metallized in Delusional: This lipstick is a deep berry wine shade with a matte finish that is long-lasting and mostly transfer-proof, but it is a little drying on the lips (review)
Lip Gloss
NYX Butter Gloss in Crème Brulee: This is my go-to lip gloss. This gloss is a pale pink shade with a gloss finish. This gloss has good pigment, does not make my lips feel sticky, and lasts a few hours before I have to reapply it (review)
Tarte LipSurgence Skintuitive Lip Gloss in Energy: This gloss is a light pink shade with a sheer finish on me, and the shade changes to match your skin toe
Honorable Mention Look Lips Lipgloss: This lip gloss is a light pink shade with a sheer finish. This gloss is not sticky on the lips, but they are only available on GoodieBox’s website
I really need to try the Soap and Glory primer! I have the One Heck of a Blot blotting powder which is awesome so I know I’d probably love the primer! <3

A bit, but my husband still wants me to take him everywhere, and he is not supposed to drive. That always means it takes me longer to get over it. Not easy being a caregiver 🙂
Oh I understand. Since my boyfriend is working I take our daughter to & from daycare (it’s about a 30 min walk one way) so if I have a cold it takes longer to get better

These are such great makeup picks! I adore Too Faced Shadow Insurance, Anastasia Modern Renaissnace and the Urban Decay Setting Spray. Also I really want to try out that sleek contour kit and I think this has really just made me want to try it even more.

UD All Nighter is my absolute favourite Setting Spray, I’ve yet to find one that compares
Neither I have! Like the NYX one is good, but it is nowhere as good as Urban Decay!

Thank you! 😊 NYX has a lot of great products! The only thing I wouldn’t recommend is their mascara. I’ve tried 2 & 1 was really dry & the other one wasn’t that effective.

Omg. So many amazing products! I received the Too Faced chocolate bronzer for Christmas and I’m in love with it. One of my favourite palette’s has got to be Modern Renaissance, I’m obsessed.

Ohhhh so many products that I now want to try! I have never tried anything from Tarte, but I keep seeing so many great reviews, I think I need to invest. My favourites would have to be the Naked3 Palette, Maybelline Dream Mousse Foundation, and Clinique High Impact mascara! I wear very minimal make up and I tend not to branch out, So I don’t try a lot of new products 😶
I don’t have any of the Naked palettes, but I heard that was the best! 😊
During the week if I wear makeup it will be minimal, but on the weekends I like going all out haha 😄
It looks like you are using lots of NYX products. I never tried any. I’m not very open minded when it comes to changing the cosmetic products. I am always sticking with what I know is good for me, but this post make me want to explore more, and I am definitely going to give some a try. Thank you x

I haven’t tried many of these but the ones I have would probably be in my favourites too. I don’t think I could pick all time favourites but there’s definitely be a sleek eyeshadow palette, NYX concealer and Kat Von D liquid lipstick.
It was hard picking my favorite lipsticks & eyeshadow since I have so many, but I was able to decide which ones I liked the most!
