I started my makeup journey in high school, and before then, I had never used a primer. However, I have heard that using a primer as the first step when applying makeup is beneficial. Therefore, I decided to try the Soap & Glory One Heck Of A Blot Primer, and I have been using the primer since then.

After doing my morning skincare routine, I apply the Soap & Glory One Heck Of A Blot Primer to my face. The primer is easy to use as you just twist off the black lid and squeeze a small amount onto your fingers then apply it all over your face. After applying the primer, I used concealer and foundation, but you can wear the primer alone. The primer dries quickly, so I do not have to wait long to finish applying the rest of my makeup.
Without any primer, my makeup needed to be touched up throughout the day because my face would get oily. However, with this primer, my makeup lasted longer throughout the day, and also, the primer makes my face shine-free. The primer is supposed to make your pores appear smaller, but I do not really notice a difference in the appearance of my pores. Also, the primer claims to hide imperfections and reduce redness, but I believe it is better to use the primer with concealer to reduce any redness and hide any imperfections. Despite that, this is a great primer to use as a base for your makeup. Lastly, the primer is a good size to travel with and it can easily fit in a travel makeup bag.
Overall, the Soap & Glory One Heck Of A Blot Primer works well by providing a base for makeup and ensuring your makeup lasts throughout the day, and I would recommend trying it out.
