Lancôme VoxBox Review

Updated on March 5th, 2024

I received the Lancôme VoxBox from Influenster for free, and it included a foundation, concealer, highlighter, and lip gloss.

First off, Lancôme is not cruelty-free so I would not purchase any of their products on my own. However, if you are interested in purchasing these products, I will share my honest opinions about them.

Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Wear Foundation in 215 Buff N: 215 Buff N is a light shade with neutral undertones. This is a liquid foundation that contains SPF 15, which is just like my go to Tarte Amazonian Clay Foundation. This foundation applies easily and blends smoothly with a beautyblender or other sponge, and it feels lightweight on my skin. This foundation is also buildable and can provide medium to full coverage. Like the name suggests, this foundation lasts all day and my face also remains oil-free throughout the day. The shade 215 Buff N matched my skin tone well (I use the Light Beige shade of the Tarte Amazonian Clay Foundation), and there are 40 different shades available. I do believe the price is a bit high, but based on my experience, I would recommend this foundation especially for those with oily skin.

Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Wear Camouflage Concealer in 215 Buff N: This concealer is the same shade as the foundation, and like with the foundation this concealer applies easily and blends smoothly with a sponge. This concealer is a bit thicker than I would like, but a little goes a long to provide full-coverage for my dark circles and imperfections. This concealer works great with the Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Wear Foundation and both feel lightweight on my skin. There are 16 shades available of this concealer as well as 5 color correcting shades, but I believe the price for this concealer is really high. Even though this is a good concealer, there are better and more affordable concealers out there (like the NYX HD Photogenic Concealer or the Tarte Shape Tape Concealer).

Lancôme Click & Go Highlighting Skin Fluid in Lumières D’Or Rose: Lumières D’Or Rose is a rose gold shade with a shimmer finish. This highlighter is easy to use and all I have to do is click the bottom of the pen and apply it with the applicator. However, I do have to use a sponge to blend it out because the applicator is useless for blending. Be careful when blending because when I blended it too much, the highlighter made my foundation look patchy. Another problem I have with this highlighter is that the shade Lumières D’Or Rose appears to have good pigment when swatched, but on my face it is very subtle. There are 3 other shades available, and I believe the highlighter is at a good price. If you like a more natural and subtle glow, then I would recommend this highlighter for you.

Lancôme Le Metallique Lip Lacquer in Mirrored Nude: Mirrored Nude is a light pink shade with a metallic finish. This lip lacquer is sheer and I love the added shimmer. However, it is very sticky on my lips, and I do not like wearing sticky lip products. This lip lacquer is long-lasting though, but it is not transfer-proof and I do need to reapply it after eating. The price is a little high for this lip lacquer, and I would not recommend it unless you do not mind having sticky lips.

Overall, both the Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Wear Foundation and the Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Wear Camouflage Concealer are great products, but the Lancôme Click & Go Highlighting Skin Fluid and the Lancôme Le Metallique Lip Lacquer are problematic.

Have you tried any of Lancôme’s products before?

I’ve heard good things about the Teint Idole foundation. I haven’t heard about the concealer, so it’s good to know that it’s good too! I’ve not tried any of the items you got – for some reason Lancome isn’t a brand I pay too much attention to.

I have not paid much attention to Lancome either, and most of their products seem really expensive
