NYX Setting Spray Review

I wanted to find a more affordable alternative to the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray, so I bought the NYX Matte Finish Makeup Setting Spray at Ulta

The setting spray is easy to apply, and I only need to spray several times to cover my whole face. The spray also dries quickly, and even though one of the main ingredients is water, it does not remove my makeup. When the spray is dried, it feels lightweight on my skin. My makeup does lasts for most of the day, but if I am out for more than 5 hours, I need to touch it up. The spray also helps control shine, and my makeup remains matte and oil-free, which is good for people like me with oily skin. However, this also only lasts for about 4-5 hours. Overall, this setting spray is a decent alternative to Urban Decay, but it is not as long-lasting as I would like.

    1. Yes I am! I generally have the same makeup routine and with Urban decay’s setting spray my makeup lasts all day/night, but with this setting spray my makeup doesn’t last nearly as long. I don’t know if it’s because I have oily skin or what, but this setting spray doesn’t last that long for me

  1. Hi Karalee. This setting spray is on my wish list. Now that I have also read your review I am wanting it more πŸ˜€ I want to get a setting spray, it will be the first time I use it. My skin is combo and sensitive. But we are changing seasons too, so I think it will last on my skin for several hours. Although.. not in the summer, just like you perhaps. Hugs!
