I have been wanting a Tarte palette for a while now, but I have been debating on either the Tartelette In Bloom Clay Palette or the Tartelette Clay Matte Palette. I decided on the latter because all 12 shades were matte instead of a mix of mattes and lusters.

I received my first Birchbox for June 2016 last week after debating for a while whether or not I should purchase one. When I signed up, I also received a free Pixi Palette along with my box.

I purchased the Highlight & Contour Pro Palette as a part of my NYX Haul. I am a beginner at contouring, but this palette can be used by anyone from beginners to experts. The palette includes 4 highlighting and 4 contouring shades, which can be swapped out with the singles after finishing a shade.

I originally saw the ‘Boyfriend Explains What Makeup Is’ Tag on A Girl Recommends blog and then again on Emily Mae’s blog, and I thought it would be fun to do with my partner. My partner used to work at a warehouse for L’Oreal, so I expected him to know a little about makeup. This is what he thought the various makeup products were.

I was not expecting to receive an Ipsy bag this month because when I signed up a couple of weeks ago I was told I was on the waiting list and I have not heard anything or received any emails since then, but it was a nice surprise.
The bag itself was unexpected. When my boyfriend saw it, he asked if I got something from the 90s, and I have to agree that the graffiti style is outdated and not something I would expect on a makeup bag. Anyways, these were the items I received.

I have only bought a few makeup products from NYX, but I have loved those products, so I decided to do an NYX Cosmetics haul and try more of their makeup. Also, I will be doing several makeup looks and reviews with these products in the coming weeks.

The other day Barnes & Noble had an online sale, so I decided to purchase some books and share my book haul here. The books I bought are All the Light We Cannot See, The Girl on the Train, Library of Souls: The Third Novel of Miss Peregrine’s Peculiar Children, A Man Called Ove, Asylum, and The Peculiar Life of a Lonely Postman.
