February 2019 GoodieBox

February 2019 GoodieBox

This week has been stressful, but I have been managing and today I wanted to share what I received in my February GoodieBox.

The theme for February’s box was Powered By and the products will help you find your inner strength. GoodieBox is a Danish beauty subscription box, so the boxes can only be shipped to Denmark, Greenland, and the Faroe Islands. There is a GoodieBox subscription for the Netherlands, but the monthly boxes are a bit different. Each box costs 169 kr / $26 a month and contains 5-7 items worth over 550 kr / $84. In this box I received 5 items, and 4 were full-sized.The items in the February 2019 GoodieBox

Luxie Beauty Medium Fan Brush 560 (Full Size): Luxie Beauty is an American brand, and the fan brush is used to highlight your strongest facial features including your cheek bones, the bridge of your nose, brow bone, and cupid’s bow. The brush can also be used to dust away excess product. I have previously received the Luxie Beauty Rose Gold Large Angled Face Brush 504 in November 2017 GoodieBox and the Luxie Beauty Rose Gold Detail Round Blender Makeup Brush 120 in February 2017 GoodieBox. Both brushes are great quality and I still use them today so I expect this fan brush to be the same. Luxie Beauty’s brushes are also vegan and cruelty-free.

118 kr / $18

Raunsborg Nordic Hand Cream (Full Size): Raunsborg is a Danish brand, and the cream strengthens hands by moisturizing and softening dry hands. The hand cream also absorbs quickly without feeling greasy, and Raunsborg does not test on animals. I always need a new hand cream because my hands get so dry in the colder weather, so I am looking forward to trying this cream out.

125 kr / $19

Mesauda Rock Nail Hardening Base Coat (Full Size): Mesauda is an Italian brand, and Rock Nail strengthens the nails, activates and stimulates the formation and hardening of keratin, and prevents the breaking and splitting of nails. Rock Nail also prevents the staining and yellowing of nails, and it is easy to apply. Rock Nail can be used as a base coat, top coat, hardener or as a shiny nail polish. I previously received the Mesauda Milano Extreme Gloss in Naïve in my May 2018 GoodieBox, the Mesauda Milano Glam Matte Eyeshadow in Chenille in my March 2018 GoodieBox Crush, the Mesauda Milano Liquid Silk Foundation in Natural Rose 201 in my November 2017 GoodieBox, and the Mesauda Milano Definitive Mascara in my July 2017 GoodieBox, so I am glad to receive a non-makeup product. Even though I normally do not wear nail polish, I like that this polish can be used alone to strengthen the nails. Also, Mesauda is cruelty-free.

69 kr / $10.50

Bellápierre Banana Setting Powder (Full Size): Bellápierre is an American brand, and the banana setting powder is a matte powder with a yellow undertone that neutralizes dark circles, redness, and discoloration. The powder is ideal for setting under eye makeup, spot correcting, and as a base for eyeshadow. I actually received this setting powder in my July 2016 Ipsy Bag, and I dropped it one day and most of the product came out so I am glad I can try it again. I also received the Bellápierre Mini Kabuki Brush in my June 2017 GoodieBox and the Bellápierre Gel Eyeliner in my May 2017 GoodieBox, and I think it is nice to receive different products from the same brand. Also, Bellápierre is cruelty-free.

186 kr / $28Swatch of the Bellápierre Banana Setting Powder

HairLust Hair Gummies: HairLust is a Danish brand, and the gummies strengthen the hair from the inside out. The gummies contain Biotin, Zinc, Folic acid, B5, B6, and B12, which maintains and strengthens the hair. The gummies are taken 3 times daily with meals, and they have a strawberry flavor. I am not sure how effective these gummies will be since there is only enough for 15 days, but they do taste good and the gummies are also vegan which is a big plus.

249 kr / $38 for 90 vitamins

Overall, I think this was a great box because I will use all of these products. I am especially excited to try out the Luxie Beauty brush and the Raunsborg hand cream. Also, the box had a value of 622 kr / $95.

Have you tried any products from these brands before?

  1. So jealous – the price for this box is so good for what you’re getting! Firstly, the brush is calling my name and, no surprise, I love a banana powder so I’m envying you on those bases. Hair gummies have been my favourite things lately for getting that length and strength into my locks so HairLust sounds amazing! Great post! x

    1. The price of the boxes are definitely worth it & I love the Luxie Beauty brushes! That’s great to hear you find the hair gummies beneficial! I’ll have to look into buying the full size jar when I run out 😊

  2. This sounds like an interesting box and if they delivered to the UK, I’d be all over it! Some brands I hadn’t heard of too, which is always nice. I liked reading your post, thanks for sharing 🙂 x

  3. I’ve never been sure about the idea of a random box of beauty products because I’m quite picky about what I put on my skin. But these sound tlike quality products that I would actually use. Shame I’m not in the Netherlands! Thanks for sharing your thoughts though, I’ll look out for Goodie Box in case it ever makes it over to the UK.

    1. That’s the risk you take with subscription boxes, but I still think it’s worth it b/c you could find new products that you love! & it’s not a waste if you get a product you won’t use b/c the boxes are a bargain compared to the value of the products & you can always give it to family or friends 😊
