March 2018 GoodieBox + GoodieBox Crush

It is time for an unboxing of the March 2018 GoodieBox as well as the newly launched GoodieBox Crush!

First off the GoodieBox. The theme for this month’s box was Danish Beauty Awards. GoodieBox is a Danish beauty subscription box, and the boxes can be shipped in the EU. Each box costs 199 kr / $28 a month and contains 5-7 items worth over 650 kr / $92. In this box, I received 5 items, and 4 were full-sized.

Zenz No. 3 Treatment Pure (Full Size)

Zenz is a Danish brand, and this treatment strengthens the scalp and hair as well as nourishes and softens the hair with avocado oil and aloe vera. The treatment is used in freshly washed hair for 10-30 minutes then rinsed out. The treatment is suitable for all hair types, and it is allergy friendly. I have not used a hair treatment in a long time, so I am looking forward to trying this one out. Also, Zenz is cruelty-free.

Jorgobé Hand Cream (Full Size)

Jorgobé is a Danish brand, and this hand cream contains coconut oil and shea butter that softens the skin. The cream also contains small black pearls of Vitamin A and E that give the hands instant protection. When I first saw the black pearls, I was concerned they would stay on the skin, but they do break down when applying the cream. I am definitely looking forward to using this cream since my hands have been dry from the colder weather. Jorgobé is also vegan and cruelty-free.

Rodial Dragon’s Blood XXL Lip Plumper (Full Size)

Rodial is a UK brand, and this lip plumper makes lips fuller with chili extract. The lip plumper also includes Vitamin E and baobab oil that moisturizes and adds shine to the lips. I previously received the Rodial Dragon’s Blood Eye Mask in my July 2017 GoodieBox. I loved the eye mask, so hopefully, the lip plumper will be great too. To be honest, I do not really care for the lip-plumping effect, but my lips can always use some extra moisture. Also, Rodial does not test on animals.

Comme Deux Serum Booster in #YellowDrops (Full Size)

Comme Deux is a Danish brand, and the #YellowDrops purify the skin and give it a glow. The drops can be used alone by applying 5 drops directly to the face or 2-3 drops can be mixed with a face cream or foundation. The drops leave the skin clean, soft, and healthy. I received the Comme Deux Face Mask in Pink Paint in my January 2018 GoodieBox, but I did not care for the mask especially since it was mainly for hydration. I am looking forward to trying these drops though since they are for purifying the skin. Comme Deux is also vegan, perfume-free, and cruelty-free.

Carven L’Eau de Toilette

Carven is a French brand, and this perfume has a fresh floral feminine scent. The top notes include lemon, sweet pea, and peony while the heart notes include freesia, hyacinth, and wisteria. Lastly, the base notes include sandalwood, blonde wood, and musk. I love this scent because it is feminine and not overpowering. The scent is also perfect for Spring. However, I could not find the cruelty-free status of Carven.

Overall, this month’s box was one of the better boxes I have received and I am looking forward to using the hand cream and perfume the most. Also, this box had a value of 1,064 kr / $151, which is way more than the 199 kr / $28 I paid!

Now onto the GoodieBox Crush. Unlike GoodieBox, GoodieBox Crush is a quarterly subscription box with only makeup products. The theme for this month’s box was Everyday Makeup. Each box costs 129 kr / $18 and contains 4-5 makeup items worth over 350 kr / $50. I received 5 items in this box and all were full-sized.

Lord & Berry Line/Shade in Bronze (Full Size)

Lord & Berry is an Italian brand, and Bronze is a dark brown shade that is perfect for everyday use. The pencil is comfortable to apply, does not streak, and is long-lasting. The pencil also makes the eyes look lively and less tired, and it can be used to create a sharp line or smoky effect. I previously received the Lord & Berry Line/Shade in Dark Black in my September 2016 GoodieBox, and I never used it. I will not use this pencil as an eyeliner, but I do want to try out the smoky look with it. Also, Lord & Berry is cruelty-free.

Gosh Brow Sculpting Fibre Gel in Chestnut (Full Size)

Gosh is a Danish brand, and Chestnut is a dark brown shade. The brow gel is easy to use, and it colors, shapes, defines, and adds volume to the brows. I do not use any brow products, so I ended up gifting this to Lise. However, Gosh is vegan and cruelty-free.

Emite Artist Colour Powder Blush in Ante (Full Size)

Emite is a Swedish brand, and Ante is an orange-brown shade with a mostly matte finish. This blush has great pigment and gives any makeup look the perfect finish. I have previously received the Emite Makeup Diamond Heart Cream in my February 2017 GoodieBox and the Emite Lip & Cheek Tint in my November 2016 GoodieBox. Both were good products, but they were not worth the price. I am looking forward to seeing how well this blush performs since I always wear blush when I do a full face of makeup, but I am not too sure about the shade. However, Emite does not test on animals.

Mesauda Milano Glam Matte Eyeshadow in Chenille (Full Size)

Mesauda Milano is an Italian brand, and Chenille is a dark brown shade with a matte finish. The eyeshadow has a soft texture, great pigment, and is buildable. I previously received the Mesauda Milano Liquid Silk Foundation in Natural Rose 201 in my November 2017 GoodieBox. The foundation matched my skin tone well, but I did not like the added fragrance. I love trying out new eyeshadow, so hopefully, this eyeshadow will be good. Also, Mesauda Milano is cruelty-free.

Essence Color Up! Shine On! Lipstick in Crystal Polish (Full Size)

Essence is a German brand, and this lipstick is a bright pink shade that makes everyday makeup less boring. The lipstick has good pigment, and it is buildable. I have never tried anything from Essence, but for an everyday makeup look I did not expect such a bright shade, but it looks pretty. Essence is also cruelty-free.

Overall, this was just an average box, and I will not use the brow gel. However, I am looking forward to trying the blush and eyeshadow the most. The box also has a value of 504 kr / $72, which is a good value considering I only paid 99 kr / $14 (I received a discounted price since I already subscribe to the regular GoodieBox). I will continue this subscription for now, but if the next box is just average too, I will cancel it and only keep the GoodieBox subscription.
