I was excited when I received my second Ipsy bag for July 2016, and this month I actually knew I was receiving one (unlike last month).
The bag this month is much cuter than last month and it fits the summer theme with images of beach umbrellas. These are the 5 items I received in my bag:
Nunzio Saviano Anti-Frizz Sheets: The anti-frizz sheets help control static, tame flyaways, and define curls while on the go. Since it is humid in Texas and my hair does get frizzy, I am looking forward to seeing how these work. However, I could not find the cruelty-free status of this company.
$18 for 15 sheets at Nunzio Saviano
Model Launcher Cosmetics Felt Tip Eyeliner in Emerald Isle: The eyeliner is an emerald shade and it applies easily and precisely and does not bleed. I rarely wear eyeliner because I normally only use mascara, but if I do use eyeliner I would use a black one, so I might use this once just to try it out. Model Launcher is cruelty-free.
$13 at Model Launcher
MAKE UP FOR EVER Excessive Lash: The mascara lengthens and volumizes lashes while leaving them clump-free. I have already tried this mascara out and even though it claims to be clump-free I found that it slightly clumps my lashes. I also received a mascara in last month’s bag, so I was not excited about receiving another mascara in this bag because I already have so many. Also, MAKE UP FOR EVER is not cruelty-free.
$25 at MAKE UP FOR EVER
BelláPierre Cosmetics Banana Setting Powder: The setting powder is a yellow shade, which offsets redness and hides dark circles while acting as a subtle highlight. I am interested in seeing how this works compared to the Cream shade in the NYX Highlight & Contour Pro Palette. BelláPierre is cruelty-free.
$35 for 4 g at BelláPierre
Trust Fund Beauty Nail Polish in No Filter: The nail polish is a soft violet shade that only requires one coat to get an opaque effect. The polish also dries quickly and does not contain toxic ingredients found in most nail polishes. I rarely wear nail polish (as in I cannot even remember the last time I wore nail polish), so I will probably give this to my mom because I am not going to use it. The nail polish also made the bag reek of polish, which was off-putting when I first opened the bag. However, Trust Fund Beauty is cruelty-free.
$15 at Trust Fund Beauty (no longer available)
I am underwhelmed by the items I received this month especially since I will use 2 of these items (the anti-frizz sheets and setting powder). I was also disappointed that I received 2 mascaras in just 2 months and a nail polish that I am not going to use.

I got the same exact products as you this month! I was also a little underwhelmed with what I received.

I hope next month will be better for both of us!
They should have an option to choose the colors/shades you want beforehand, i think more people would be happy with what they receive then x
I agree! They have the beauty quiz, but I feel like they don’t even use that in picking out items for the bags
