May 2017 GoodieBox

I have received another GoodieBox, and the theme for May was Personal Style. GoodieBox is a Danish beauty subscription box, so the boxes can only be shipped to Denmark, Greenland, and the Faroe Islands. Each box costs 169 kr / $25 a month and contains 5-7 items worth over 500 kr / $75.

I received 6 items in my GoodieBox and 4 were full size. The items came in a white box with gold writing and were wrapped in tissue paper.

La Théorie des Volcans Noir Eternae Masque Exfoliant (Full Size): La Théorie des Volcans is a French brand, and this is a two-in-one mask and scrub. This mask contains volcanic sand that exfoliates and removes dead skin cells. This mask also leaves the skin soft, clean, and regenerated. This mask is vegan and La Théorie des Volcans is cruelty-free. Out of all the items I received, I am most excited to try this mask because I love using masks.

225 kr / $34

Ardell Professional Lashes (Full Size): These lashes are perfect for special occasions or a night out, and they can be used with eyeliner and mascara or cut for a more natural look. These lashes are easy to apply and can be used several times. I do like that these lashes includes a glue, but I do not wear falsies, so I will not use these lashes. However, Ardell is cruelty-free.

59,95 kr / $9

Benefit Gimme Brow: This brow gel gives fuller-looking brows by mimicking the look of real hair. This brow gel is easy to use, buildable, water-resistant, and long-lasting. I do not use any brow products, so I will not use this brow gel. Also, Benefit is not cruelty-free.

220 kr / $33 for 3 g

Inca Oil Pandora Oil: Inca Oil is an Italian brand, and this oil is used to soften the hair and gives a glossy finish to any hairstyle. This oil is also not greasy, has anti-frizz control, and can be used by all hair types. Even though this oil claims to not be greasy, I am concerned that this oil will make my hair look oily, but I may try it out once. Inca Oil also does not test on animals.

299 kr / $45 for 100 ml

Bellápierre Gel Eyeliner (Full Size): Bellápierre is an American brand, and this is a black gel eyeliner. This eyeliner is easy to apply, smudge-proof, and long-lasting. This eyeliner is also hypoallergenic and can be used by all skin types. Last year I received a Bellápierre Banana Setting Powder in my July 2016 Ipsy Bag. I like being able to try different products from the same brand, but I do not use eyeliner. However, Bellápierre is cruelty-free.

150 kr /$23

Miqura Bio-Fiber Anti Blemish Sheet Mask (Full Size): Miqura is a Danish brand, and I received 1 of 3 masks (Anti Blemish, Anti Age or Moisturizing). Anti Blemish is meant for oily skin, and this mask is made of coconut juice which cleans and smooths the skin. This mask can also be used by all skin types. I previously received the Miqura Golden Modeling Mask in my October 2016 GoodieBox, which I did not like the results of. Hopefully this sheet mask is better, but while I was looking for the cruelty-free status of Miqura I found that they distribute in China. I am disappointed that they are not cruelty-free.

69 kr / $10

Overall, this is the worst GoodieBox I have received because I will not use half of these items. However, the box did have a value of 607 kr / $92, and I am looking forward to trying the La Théorie des Volcans Exfoliant and the Miqura Sheet Mask.

  1. Sorry to hear you won’t have much use for the items. But I am glad you shared. I have used birchbox in the passed and loved it. So it’s cool to see subscription boxes from around the world. At least you got that share out of it!
