Happy New Year! I hope everyone is having a great start to 2024! To wrap up 2023, I wanted to see what my best blog posts were from 2023 and how my views compared to previous years.

#10 The 15 Best Sims 4 Mods and Custom Content: I published this post in 2020 to share my favorite mods and custom content to use in The Sims 4. It is quite interesting that the post is still popular today, but I have been keeping it updated.
#9 Temu Review: The Pros and Cons of Shopping on Temu: I published my post about the online marketplace Temu in August 2023. With Temu being ever so popular and shipping being offered to Denmark, I wanted to try them out. In the post, I share an overview of Temu, including how they are so cheap and if they are legit. I also share my review of kitchen supplies and office supplies I bought on Temu.
#8 4 Best-Selling Isntree Products Review: I published my review of 4 Isntree products that I won a giveaway in April 2023. I have not tried any products from Isntree before, so I was excited to try out their best sellers. I also enjoyed sharing my thoughts on the products in this post.
#7 The Top 10 Cozy Mobile Games to Play for Free: I published my cozy mobile games post in September 2023. In the post, I share my 10 favorite mobile games I have played.
#6 9 elf Makeup Dupes: I published this post in March 2023 and compared 9 elf makeup products to their high-end counterparts. I compared the benefits and price per ounce to show that dupe products can have similar benefits for a fraction of the price of high-end makeup.
#5 How Much Do Bloggers Charge for Sponsored Posts, Social Media, and Advertising Packages?: I published this post in 2022 because I found it difficult to figure out what to charge for blog posts, link insertions, and social media posts because not many bloggers are open about their prices. The prices included in this post are based on anonymous Google Form responses from fellow bloggers, and I hoped my post could be a starting point for other bloggers to determine their pricing. I am glad to see the post is still popular.
#4 Ranking Every Nancy Drew PC Game from Worst to Best: I published my post ranking all 33 Nancy Drew PC games in 2020. I am surprised that my Nancy Drew post is still popular in 2023, even though there has not been a new Nancy Drew game since 2019. However, game 34, Mystery of the Seven Keys, has been announced!
#3 Is The Sims 4 Base Game Worth Playing?: With The Sims 4 base game becoming free on all platforms at the end of 2022, I wrote a post on whether the base game is worth playing in February 2023. In short, there is a lot you can do in the base game. Furthermore, there are regular updates, which makes it worth checking out.
#2 The Best Sims 4 Challenges: I published this post in 2021, sharing my favorite Create-A-Sim (CAS), build, and gameplay challenges to watch and play in The Sims 4. These challenges are great for those who play The Sims 4, but they are stuck on what to do.
#1 The 25 Best Cozy Games to Play on PC and Console: My most popular post on my blog this year is my best cozy games post, which I published in March 2023. In the post, I share my favorite cozy games I have played over the years on PC and the Nintendo Switch.
My Thoughts on My Most Popular Posts
Of the 10 popular posts on my blog, 6 posts were published in 2023, 1 in 2022, 1 in 2021, and 2 in 2020. It is wonderful that some of my older posts are still popular today. Regarding the topics, 6 posts were gaming-related, 2 were about beauty, 1 was about blogging, and the last was about online shopping. I am happy gaming posts have been so popular on my blog. Gaming has been a passion of mine since I was a kid, and I am delighted that the posts resonate with others. Also, I originally started my blog as a beauty blog. It is great to see 2 beauty posts I published this year do well. Furthermore, the post on Temu was a wild card. I am happy that others are reading it and becoming aware of the benefits and downsides of shopping on Temu.
In 2022, I published 50 posts, and in 2023, I published 79. Since 2022, my views have nearly doubled. Publishing 1 post a week with the occasional extra post here and there works well for my blog. I will continue this schedule in 2024! Furthermore, my views for 2023 were mainly from search engines, Pinterest, Twitter, and Facebook. Search engines have been my main source of views since 2020, and it is great to see these views increasing. My views from Pinterest have also grown since 2022. I have been trying to create a pin for each post and new pins for older posts, so it is nice seeing my work pay off.
However, my views from Twitter have decreased slightly since 2022. I know some people have been leaving the platform due to all the changes happening, but I will still share a tweet for each of my posts. Surprisingly, my views from Facebook have increased since 2022. I did make a Facebook page in 2022, and I try to keep up with sharing my posts there. Also, I occasionally share my posts in Lyrical Host‘s Facebook groups when they have blog post threads. I was curious about Instagram because years ago, Instagram used to be a good source of views for blogs. However, that is no longer the case. I only got 17 views from Instagram in 2023, so I feel it is okay that I have not been active there. I am looking forward to continuing my blogging journey in 2024!

An interesting mix of posts there. Cosy games seem to be quite popular at the moment as I keep getting recommendations popping up on Tiktok for them.
I’ve been playing cozy games for years, and it seems like in 2023 they started to trend, so it does make sense that my cozy games posts have been popular

Interesting mix of posts in your most popular! I used to do these back in the day and assess which blog posts were my most popular but I eventually realised I didn’t really care, as long as I was enjoying writing them!
I enjoy writing my blog posts too, but I was curious to see the topics that have been popular on my blog. I also like knowing my top sources for views.
An interesting mix of posts. It’s great when you see ones pick up and do well. I had a great Vinted one during lockdown that took off as it was an early one on that topic. But now so many others bigger than me have written who are fashion blogs, mine doesn’t do very well in comparison to what it used to do.
It is interesting to see what posts do well! That’s great your Vinted post did well at first, but yea bigger blogs writing about the same topic does affect views.
