4 Best-Selling Isntree Products Review

AD – PR Product | I received four best-selling products from Isntree in a giveaway, including the Hyaluronic Acid Aqua Gel Cream, Hyaluronic Acid Watery Sun Gel, Chestnut BHA 2% Clear Liquid, and the Mugwort Calming Clay Mask. I have been using the products for over a month now. I wanted to share my review of them here, as Isntree is growing in popularity and you may be interested in their products.

What is Isntree?

Isntree is a Korean skincare brand founded in 2008. They are a green-beauty brand, meaning that their products contain natural ingredients and they exclude any harmful ingredients. Furthermore, Isntree is cruelty-free, and all their products are vegan-friendly, which means none of the ingredients used are derived from animals. In 2022. Isntree changed its packaging to be more sustainable. They made it easier to recycle their packaging by using recycled paper printed with soy ink for the exterior packaging, as well as labels that separate easily with water and are made from eco-friendly materials on their products in bottles. You can buy Isntree products from their own website or other online retailers, including YesStyle. However, Sephora in the US and UK do not carry the Isntree brand.

I received the Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Aqua Gel Cream, Hyaluronic Acid Watery Sun Gel, Chestnut BHA 2% Clear Liquid, and the Mugwort Calming Clay Mask in a giveaway, and as I mentioned at the start of the post, I have been using these four products for over a month now. Before I begin my review, I have oily, acne-prone skin. Depending on your skin type, the products may work differently, and even if you have the same skin type as me, the products may have different results.

Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Aqua Gel Cream Review

The Hyaluronic Acid Aqua Gel Cream is a daily lightweight moisturizer that is perfect for those with combination and oily skin who are concerned about the drier parts of their skin. However, the moisturizer can be used by all skin types.

The Hyaluronic Acid Aqua Gel Cream is used as the last step of your skincare routine, and I use the moisturizer in the morning and evening after cleansing my face, using a toner, and applying a serum. The aqua gel cream absorbs quickly and my skin does feel moisturized. Furthermore, my face does not feel oily from the moisturizer, and it is a great daily moisturizer.

Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Watery Sun Gel Review

The Hyaluronic Acid Watery Sun Gel is a daily moisturizing chemical sunscreen that contains SPF 50+ and PA++++. The sunscreen is perfect for those with dry skin due to its moisturizing properties, but it can be used by all skin types including those with sensitive skin, as the sunscreen is hypoallergenic. However, the sunscreen is not waterproof, and you will need to reapply the sun gel if you go swimming.

I use the Hyaluronic Acid Watery Sun Gel in the morning after applying the Hyaluronic Acid Aqua Gel Cream. I find the sunscreen has a pleasant smell, and like with the Aqua Gel Cream, the sunscreen absorbs quickly and it does not feel greasy on my skin. The product page for the sunscreen claims the sunscreen does not leave a white cast on, but I recently learned in Isa’s SPF Marketing You Need To Be Aware Of post that chemical sunscreens never give a white cast unless it is a hybrid sunscreen that has at least one mineral ingredient.

The Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Watery Sun Gel is a chemical sunscreen without any mineral ingredients, but the marketing tactic claiming it does not give a white cast is still used. Technically, the Hyaluronic Acid Watery Sun Gel will not leave your skin with a white tint, but given the ingredients of the sunscreen, a white cast is not possible. With that said, I do like the Hyaluronic Acid Watery Sun Gel, and I do recommend it as an everyday sunscreen.

Isntree Chestnut BHA 2% Clear Liquid Review

The Chestnut BHA 2% Clear Liquid is an exfoliating toner that helps even out the skin tone by removing impurities and dead skin cells and tightening enlarged pores. The BHA toner is perfect for those with oily, combination, and acne-prone skin as it clears and tightens pores while being gentle on the skin, but it can be used by all skin types.

I was nervous to try the Chestnut BHA 2% Clear Liquid because I have used tea tree toners in the past, like the Lush Tea Tree Water Toner and The Body Shop Tea Tree Toner, but not a BHA toner. Since I have not used BHA before, I was concerned it would be harsh on my skin, so I used it every other day in the evening as recommended on the packaging and Isntree’s website. They recommend using the BHA toner 2-3 times a week until your face gets used to the BHA, and then you can use the toner more frequently if you would like.

After cleansing my face, I applied a small amount to my hand (you can also use a reusable cotton round) and applied it to my entire face. However, after using the toner every other day for over a month, I cannot tell a difference in the appearance of my face. The toner does not irritate my skin, but I still get the occasional pimple while using the toner. For me, the toner was ineffective.

Isntree Mugwort Calming Clay Mask Review

The last product I received is the Mugwort Calming Clay Mask, which is a wash-off clay mask that deeps clean the skin by removing impurities clogged between pores and smoothing skin texture. The clay mask is perfect for oily and combination skin and those concerned with excess oil. However, the mask can be used by all skin types.

I use the Mugwort Calming Clay Mask once a week, and it is easy to apply to my face. I then wait 10-15 minutes for the mask to dry before rinsing off the mask with lukewarm water. The mask is easy to rinse off, and it does not dry out my skin. Instead, the mask makes my face feel clean, and it soothes any redness I had due to the calming properties of mugwort. Out of the four products I received, the Isntree Mugwort Calming Clay Mask was my favorite, and I would recommend trying it if you have oily skin.
