Makeup Shades for the Spring

Updated on January 14th, 2025

With the arrival of the spring season, I want to share the perfect makeup shades for spring. I will include eyeshadow palettes, lipsticks, and blushes that I find suitable for the season.

This post contains affiliate links, which means I may earn a commission if you make a purchase through my links, but there is no extra cost to you.

Eyeshadow Palettes

Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Eyeshadow Palette

The Modern Renaissance Palette is my go-to for the spring season because it has a good selection of berry and neutral shades. The palette has 14 shades with a mix of matte and metallic finishes. Furthermore, the shades have good pigment and they blend easily with minimal fallout. The only downside to the palette is that it has a velvet exterior, which can get dirty over time.

Essence My Rose Will Go On Eyeshadow Palette

Essence is one of my favorite makeup brands because their products are affordable and good quality. The My Rose Will Go On Palette is a 6-shade palette with pink tones. The shades have a mix of matte and metallic finishes, and they have good pigment. The My Rose Will Go On Palette is a great palette for spring.

e.l.f. Berry Bad Bite Size Eyeshadow Palette

e.l.f. is one of the first makeup brands I used, and I still use their makeup product today because they are affordable and often have dupes of high-end makeup. The Bite Size Palette has 4 shades, and the Berry Bad variation has berry shades. The palette has a mix of matte and shimmer shades, and they apply and blend easily.

Lipsticks

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Istanbul

The NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams are some of my favorite lipsticks to wear. The Istanbul lip cream is a light pink shade that is perfect for spring. The lip creams are like a liquid lipstick that applies liquid and has a matte finish. The lip creams are not drying on the lips, but they are not completely transfer-proof as they will fade when eating or drinking.

NYX Butter Gloss in Crème Brulee

For those who like to wear lip glosses, I would definitely recommend the NYX Butter Gloss. Crème Brulee is a pale pink shade that is perfect for the spring. The gloss applies evenly, and it does not feel sticky on the lips. The gloss does need to be reapplied throughout the day though, but that can be expected when wearing a lip gloss.

Revolution Satin Kiss Lipstick in Cupcake

The Revolution Satin Kiss Lipsticks are bullet lipsticks with a velvet finish. The Cupcake shade is a light pink shade, which makes it great to wear in the spring. Furthermore, the Satin Kiss Lipsticks have great pigment and they apply easily to the lips. Also, they feel soft on the lips and are not drying. However, the lipsticks are not transfer-proof, and you will have to reapply them after eating and drinking.

Blushes

Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Big Ego

Tarte is one of my favorite high-end brands, and one of my go-to products from Tarte is the Amazonian Clay Blush. Big Ego is in a bright pink shade that is suitable for spring. The Amazonian Clay Blushes are powder blushes that apply easily to the cheeks and last all day.

NYX Buttermilk Blush in Butta Together

For a more affordable powder blush, I recommend the NYX Buttermilk Blush. Butta Together is a light pink shade, and the blush has good pigment and applies easily to the cheeks.

$10 at NYX and Ulta

Essence Baby Got Blush in Tickle Me Pink

I used to only use powder blushes, however, I recently discovered the Essence Baby Got Blush, which is a cream blush stick. Tickle Me Pink is a bubblegum pink shade, and the blush stick is easy to apply to the cheeks. The blush also blends easily with a makeup sponge, and I would recommend trying it out.

    Hello ,

I saw your tweet about animals and thought I will check your website. I like it!

I love pets. I have two beautiful thai cats called Tammy(female) and Yommo(male). Yommo is 1 year older than Tommy. He acts like a bigger brother for her. 🙂
I have even created an Instagram account for them ( https://www.instagram.com/tayo_home/ ) and probably soon they will have more followers than me (kinda funny).

I have subscribed to your newsletter. 🙂

Keep up the good work on your blog.

    Regards

They don’t? That’s a shame. When I bought the palette online I sent it to my parents in the US then they sent it to me in Denmark.
      They are! 😊

This is so useful (as always). I’m really clueless and usually wear the same make-up all year round. I’ll try to follow your advice and mix it up a little for Spring! (I am also really impressed that you can find the time to stay glamorous with a two year old!)

It’s perfectly fine having the same makeup look, but I like to mix it up a bit & with Spring that means wearing pink lipsticks & blushes & having more colorful eye makeup!
Haha thank you. During the week I normally wear minimal or no makeup, but on the weekends I definitely glam it up 😄

Phew! I’m not letting the side down too badly then if you only glam up on weekends 😉 I think that your ideas make a lot of sense. Spring is definitely a time for colour!

I need to get my hands on the Too Faced palette 😍 Those colours are just perfect. I have got other NYX lip colours and I hate that they come off quite easily which is putting me off buying more.

      It’s a great palette! 😄
That’s the only downside to the NYX colors. They’re affordable though & easy to reapply so I don’t mind they’re not that long-lasting.

You’re welcome! It’s fun having different lipsticks for the different seasons, but it’s perfectly fine having the same basic look too 😊
