It is officially spooky season now, and to bring in the season, I thought it would be fun to do the Hallotober Tag that was created by Jordanne over at The Life Of A Glasgow Girl.

The Questions
- What’s your favourite thing about October? I love the weather. The weather is cooler, but not cold enough to bring out a winter jacket and I love seeing the leaves changing colors and collecting chestnuts.
- Are you a big celebrator of Halloween? Yes, but Halloween is not that popular in Denmark, but more and more stores are selling Halloween decorations and costumes for kids. I am not sure what I will be doing this year, but I know I will be carving a pumpkin with my daughter.
- What’s your favourite horror movie? Shutter, but the 2004 Thai version. I love horror thrillers over slashers and gory films, and this movie was definitely creepy without over the top gore.
- Would you rather a cosy night in watching horrors or a big night out in a costume? I would rather have a cozy night in!
- Which has been your most favourite costume to date? I have not worn a costume in YEARS, but when I was in college, me and my friends dressed up for Halloween and I wore my gothic lolita dress.
- Bobbing for apples or pin the hat on the witch? I have not done either, so I think it would be fun to bob for apples!
- How do you celebrate Halloween? I will decorate my apartment with spooky decorations, carve a pumpkin with my daughter, and share a makeup look on my blog. I am not sure if my city will have any Halloween activities going on this year though.
- What’s your least favourite horror? Saw. I watched part of one of the movies (I do not remember which one), and I was not a fan of all the gore.
- Do you have a favourite trick or treating memory? When I was a kid and me and my parents lived in our old neighborhood, we would go trick or treating in the neighborhood next to ours, and we would bring our dog Bandit and he would also be dressed up in a costume.
- What’s your favourite thing about Halloween? I love all of the decorations from carved pumpkins to ghosts, spiders, and bats. I would LOVE to have the 12-foot tall skeleton if they sold it in Denmark haha
- Scary costume or Silly costume? I think silly.
- What’s your favourite Halloween candy? Reese’s pumpkins. I LOVE Reese’s and the seasonal Reese’s are the BEST!
- What is your favourite scary/Halloween book? Bird Box by Josh Malerman. It is not a Halloween book, but it is terrifying having unknown creatures that cause insanity if you see it.

This looks like such a fun tag! Personally I’m not big on celebrating Halloween but I always find it really interesting to see what other people do for it – I love the sound of pumpkin carving! Thanks for sharing x
I love Halloween & this year I went to Tivoli, which is an amusement park in Copenhagen for Halloween so that was fun & different from what I normally do
Halloween is one of my fav holidays! I’ve had decorations up since September (is that bad?) I dress up every year and go out. I don’t know what to do this year yet.

This was such a fun post! Halloween decorations are amazing! I always love seeing what new ones come out each year. There’s a huge variety of decorations now, and something for everyone. I also think it’s awesome that Shutter is your favorite horror movie! It’s such a good movie, but I don’t hear it get talked about much. It has good pacing, a good story, and genuine scares. I love that it doesn’t just rely on jump scares. Great job on this! And thank you for tagging me! I can’t wait to answer these questions myself! 😊💕

Nice post Karalee! I celebrate Halloween low-key as it’s not a huge thing in The Netherlands. But we always decorate a bit and have something spooky going on for my boys (8 & 6 years old). Happy Halloween in advance!

Ooh nice! I didn’t even know this tag existed😀 Thanks for tagging me, and I loved reading your answers😊 I have seen the Thai version of Shutter, and I can definitely say it was all sorts of creepy😅😅 As for Saw, it’s certainly an acquired taste…but…to be fair, the series went downhill with part 3, when things went into full on gore mode. I highly recommend watching the first film, that isn’t gory, and is more in line with Seven or Silence of the Lambs. It has also one of the best endings I’ve ever seen for a movie and that’s saying something 😊 Great post, and I will try and see if I can get this one done in the upcoming week! Thank you again 😊

I heard the first Saw movie isn’t as bad as the others so I may give it a go & I LOVE Silence of the Lambs. Based on when the movies were released, I think I saw part of the 5th or 6th movie & it was terrible.

Absolutely, the first saw is a “normal” horror and can’t be compared to the gorefest that started with part 3. It’s simply put a really tense thriller, and it’s one of my own favorite horror movies. As for Silence of the Lambs? Yeah that one is amazing, and a true classic😀

Ahhh I love Hallowe’en decorations too! Mine are already up, haha – can’t wait to get some mini pumpkins as well.
I put mine up today! & pretty much every time me & my daughter go to the grocery store, she has been picking out a mini pumpkin so we have 5 now haha
