June 2016 Ipsy Bag

Updated on November 26th, 2024

I was not expecting to receive an Ipsy bag this month because when I signed up a couple of weeks ago I was told I was on the waiting list and I have not heard anything or received any emails since then, but it was a nice surprise.
The bag itself was unexpected. When my boyfriend saw it, he asked if I got something from the 90s, and I have to agree that the graffiti style is outdated and not something I would expect on a makeup bag. Anyways, these were the items I received.

Doucce Boombastic Lash Volumizer Mascara

I am always looking for new mascaras that do not clump my lashes and actually make a difference in the appearance of them. The Boombastic Mascara evenly coats lashes and increases volume and length. Also, Doucce does not test on animals.

$24 at Doucce (no longer available)

Urban Decay Eyeshadow in Lounge

I have been interested in trying Urban Decay’s products, so I am glad I received one of their eyeshadows. The eye shadow has 2 colors in 1, and the Lounge shade is a brick red with a green shift.

$19 at Urban Decay

Royal & Langnickel MODA Crease/Smudge Brush

This brush is unique because one end is a crease brush and the other end is a smudge brush. I like that this is a multipurpose eye brush and it is 100% vegan.

$5.99 at Royal & Langnickel (I could not find the exact brush, but this one is the crease brush)

Dirty Little Secret Baked Highlighter in Bellissima

I have heard of baked eye shadows and highlighters, but I have never looked into them, so I did not know what made them special. According to Ipsy, the baked color allows longer-lasting looks. Bellissima is a rose gold shade, which is different from the highlighters I have, so I am looking forward to trying it out.

$9 at Dirty Little Secret

Cake Beauty Delectable Everything Balm

The Everything Balm is an all-over balm that has over 21 ways that it can be used including glossing lips, taming brows, brightening dark circles, and softening skin. I like that the balm has natural ingredients and the company is cruelty-free.

$16 at Cake Beauty

Overall, I like the variety of items I received, and I will continue my subscription.
