February 2018 GoodieBox

Updated on March 8th, 2024

It is time for another GoodieBox unboxing! For this month’s box I got to choose between The New Yorker and La Parisienne box, and I chose La Parisienne. GoodieBox is a Danish beauty subscription box, so the boxes can only be shipped to Denmark, Greenland, and the Faroe Islands. Each box costs 169 kr / $28 a month and contains 5-7 items worth over 500 kr / $83.

In this box I received 5 items, and 3 were full-sized. Both The New Yorker and La Parisienne included the same products, but the gloss was a different shade.

Laritzy NUE Palette (Full-Size): Laritzy is a Canadian brand, and this palette includes 12 shades. The palette can be used to create multiple looks from day to night, and it is suggested to combine the bright shades with the red lip gloss to create the perfect Parisian look. I have previously received the Laritzy Lip Stix in Scarlet in my December 2017 GoodieBox. I have not had the chance to try it out yet, but I think it would look great with this palette. I also think the shades in this palette are pretty, but the packaging feels very cheap especially considering the price. I hope the shades do well when applied to the eye lids though. Also, Laritzy is cruelty-free and vegan.

310 kr / $51

Miqura Premium Bubble Mask (Full-Size): Miqura is a Danish brand, and this mask can be used after spending a long day in the city. The mask removes makeup and dirt and deep cleans the skin. The mask also reduces blackheads and minimizes pores. The mask is worn for 5-8 minutes while it foams then the bubbles are removed with water. The mask can be used daily by all skin-types. I have previously received the Miqura Premium Foot Mask in my August 2017 GoodieBox, the Miqura Bio-Fiber Anti Blemish Sheet Mask in my May 2017 GoodieBox, and the Miqura Golden Modeling Mask in my October 2016 GoodieBox. I liked the sheet mask, but the foot mask and modeling mask were just okay. I am looking forward seeing how well this bubble mask does especially since I have never tried a bubble mask before, but Miqura is not cruelty-free.

59 kr / $10

Origins Ginzing Refreshing Eye Cream: Origins is an American brand, and this eye cream reduces fatigue from walking in the big city. The cream wakes up tired eyes by reducing dark circles, dullness, and puffiness. The cream is applied in the morning, and it can be used by all skin-types. I often have dark circles from not getting enough sleep, so I am interested in trying this eye cream. However, Origin is not cruelty-free.

245 kr / $41 for 15 ml

Benefit Hoola Bronzer: Benefit is an American brand, and this bronzer is part of any city girl’s makeup routine. The bronzer is used for contouring the cheeks and face to give the skin a sun-kissed glow. The bronzer is a natural bronze shade with a matte finish, and it applies and blends smoothly. I have only tried the Benefit They’re Real! Tinted Eyelash Primer from my August 2016 GoodieBox and the Benefit They’re Real! Mascara, so I am looking forward to trying out this bronzer since I know it has received a lot of praise. However, Benefit is not cruelty-free.

305 kr / $50 for 8 g

Manna Kadar Liplocked Priming Gloss Stain in Siren (Full-Size): Manna Kadar is an American brand, and this gloss is used to complete the Parisian look with classic red lips. Siren is a bright red shade with a gloss finish, and the gloss applies smoothly. The gloss also hydrates the lips and is long-lasting. The gloss can be made more dramatic by applying 2 layers and using a lip liner. I have previously received the Manna Kadar Fantasy 3-in-1 in my April 2017 GoodieBox and the Manna Kadar Radiance Split Pan Bronzer and Highlighter Duo in my September 2016 GoodieBox. I liked the versatility of these products, but they are expensive for the quality. I am intrigued by this gloss because it is a primer, gloss, and stain in one. I also love the red shade since I do not have any red lip products. Also, Manna Kadar is cruelty-free.

150 kr / $25

Overall, I think this is a great box despite only having 5 items, and I am looking forward to using the mask and gloss the most. The box also has a value of 715 kr / $118.

Have you tried any products from these brands?
