December 2017 GoodieBox

I have received my last GoodieBox for the year, and the theme for December was Dancing Queen (from the ABBA song). GoodieBox is a Danish beauty subscription box, so the boxes can only be shipped to Denmark, Greenland, and the Faroe Islands. Each box costs 169 kr / $27 a month and contains 5-7 items worth over 500 kr / $79.

I received 6 items in this box and 3 were full-sized. Unlike previous boxes, this box is more like a drawer, which I like. The products in this box are for the eyes, lips, hair, and skin to help you find your inner dancing queen for the holidays.

Aurelia Miracle Cleanser & Cloth: Aurelia is an English brand, and this cleanser is used to make the skin radiate on the dance floor. The cleanser is applied to dry skin then massaged in with your fingers. The antibacterial cloth is then dampened and used to remove the cleanser. The cleanser and cloth effectively remove impurities and makeup, while leaving the skin bright and moisturized. The cleanser can be used by all skin types, and Aurelia is cruelty-free. I enjoy trying out new cleansers, and I will start using this one when I finish my current one.

395 kr / $63 for 120 ml

Percy & Reed Perfectly Perfecting Wonder Balm: Percy & Reed is an English brand, and this balm gives you control over your hair for when you go dancing. The leave-in balm preps and primes the hair, and it can be used alone or as a base before adding other styling products. The balm is applied to towel-dried hair to give it moisture and shine and makes any style last longer. The balm can also be used sparingly with dry styled hair to give it definition. Also, Percy & Reed does not test on animals. I do not style my hair, but I am willing to try the balm out since it can be used alone. I just hope that it does not make my hair look greasy since it does add shine.

190 kr / $30 for 75 ml

Teeez Spectrum of Stars Eyeshadow in Lilac Glaze (Full Size): Teeez is a Dutch brand, and this eyeshadow is used to create a party makeup look because no party looks are complete without glitter. I received a shade based on my eye color (brown), and Lilac Glaze is a purple grey shade with a metallic finish. The eyeshadow has a smooth texture, and it applies and blends easily. The eyeshadow is also long-lasting, and Teeez is cruelty-free. The packaging reminds me more of a lip balm than an eyeshadow, but I like the color. I have also received the Teeez Be Smooth Face Powder in 301 Feather Light in my December 2016 GoodieBox, and it was nice as a finishing powder, so hopefully this eyeshadow will be good too.

142 kr / $22

Laritzy Lip Stix in Scarlet (Full Size): Laritzy is a Canadian brand, and this lip stix is perfect for parties and is used to complete the dancing queen look. Scarlet is a maroon shade with a cream finish. The lip stix moisturizes the lips, and it can be worn alone or under a lipstick or gloss. Also, Laritzy is cruelty-free. I love trying out new lip products, so I am looking forward to trying this one out especially since the shade is pretty.

125 kr / $20

Doucce Fierce and Fine Graphic Liner in Black (Full Size): Doucce is an American brand, and eyeliner is a must for any Christmas (dance) party. The liquid eyeliner has a soft applicator, and it can be used to create an intense cat eye look to sharp winged liner. The eyeliner is also long-lasting, and Doucce is cruelty-free. I received the Doucce Boombastic Lash Volumizer Mascara in a previous subscription box, and the mascara was effective, but it was definitely not worth the price. I do not use eyeliner and like with the mascara, I think the price is a bit high.

135 kr / $21

Vichy Spa Shower Gel-Cream: I received either a shower cream, shower oil, or serum. This shower cream can be used after a night of dancing at a party. The shower cream has a fresh peach flower, rose and vanilla scent, and it cleans, moisturizes, and softens the skin. The shower cream can be used by all skin types, but Vichy is not cruelty-free. The shower cream has a nice scent, and I will use it when I finish my current shower gel.

85 kr / $13 for 200 ml

Overall, this month’s box had a good variety of products, and I am most excited to try the lip stix and eyeshadow. I will use the other products except for the eyeliner, and this box had a value of 620 kr / $98.
