1. Do you remember your first makeup item? Not exactly, but I know I used the Wet n Wild eye liner a lot
2. Describe your perfect mascara. Have you found one that fits your specifications? My perfect mascara is the Tarte Lights, Cameras, Lashes Mascara because it adds both length and volume to my lashes without clumping them
3. What kind of coverage do you prefer from foundation? I prefer full coverage foundations like the Tarte Amazonian Clay Foundation because I often have redness, blemishes, or other skin imperfections I would like to cover
4. Favourite high end brand? My favorite high end brand is Tarte. I love their foundation, concealer, eye shadow palettes, mascara, and blush!
5. What cosmetic brands have you always wanted to try but still haven’t? I want to try Morphe’s palettes and brushes. I have also heard a lot of good things about Juvia’s Place palettes
6. Favorite drugstore brand? My favorite drugstore brand is NYX because I love their lip creams, concealers, blushes, and eye shadows
7. Do you wear fake eyelashes? No I don’t because I feel like I can get the same effect with just mascara. I am also horrible at putting on lashes!
8. Is there any kind of makeup you can’t leave the house without? Lip gloss or lip balm. If I am just dropping my daughter off at daycare, it does not bother me if I do not have makeup on, but I need something for my lips because I don’t want them to dry out in the cold weather
9. What is your most cherished beauty product? My Tarte Tartelette Matte Palette. It was my first palette I bought, and I enjoy using it every now and then
10. How often do you shop for makeup? Do you like to pick up an item here and there or get lots of goodies at once? I shop for makeup every few months or so. I like to pick up an item here and there unless there is a sale then I will get multiple items at once
11. Do you have a “beauty budget” or do you spend freely? I spend freely, but I watch what I spend and avoid spending a lot at once
12. Do you utilize coupons, rewards cards and sales when you shop for cosmetics? When I shop online at Ulta I look at sales, free gifts, and coupons I can use. I also look at sales when shopping at Matas, but Sephora rarely has sales. I also have a rewards card for Ulta, Matas and The Body Shop
13. What type of product do you buy the most of? I buy the most of concealer and lipstick/lip gloss. I regularly use concealer to brighten my under eye area and cover any imperfections I have, so I can go through a tube rather quickly. I also like buying lip products because there are so many shades and finishes to choose from
14. Is there a brand that you absolutely can’t stand? Lime Crime. I have heard of Lime Crime many years ago and I have since avoided that brand. When they first started out they repackaged wholesale pigments and the owner attacked anyone who wrote a negative review. Then there were issues of a security breach where people lost tons of money that shopped on their website and they also included toxic ingredients in their makeup. I know the owner has since distanced herself from the brand, but I still refuse to buy any of their products
15. Do you avoid certain ingredients in cosmetics like parabens or sulfates? Yes I do. I also avoid products that contain animal ingredients
16. Do you have a favourite place to shop for makeup? When I lived in the US, I loved shopping at Ulta because they had both drugstore and high end brands. Now I shop online at Ulta and at the Matas and Sephora here
17. Do you like trying new skincare products or do you keep a certain routine? I generally have the same routine (cleanser, toner, moisturizer, etc), but I will try out new products when I run out of one
18. Favourite bath and body brand? Soap & Glory because I love their body butters and scrubs
19. If you could only buy from one brand, which brand would you choose? This question is really hard, but I would say Tarte because they have high quality makeup and skin care products
20. What brand do you think has the best packaging? I think Soap & Glory has cute and fun packaging
21. Which celebrity always has great makeup? Kat Von D. She even has her own makeup brand!
22. Do you belong to any online makeup communities? I am a part of a few blogger groups on Facebook.
23. Favourite Beauty Gurus? I don’t really follow any beauty gurus, but I love Marzia Bisognin‘s makeup looks and videos
24. Do you like multi-functional products like lip and cheek stains? I do! I love using products that can be used for multiple purposes
25. Are you clumsy in putting on makeup? I don’t think I’m clumsy because I normally take my time in putting on makeup especially when I’m applying eye shadow
26. Do you use makeup base/primer for the eyes? Yes I do! I use the Urban Decay Primer Potion because it helps my eye shadow last all day without creasing, fading, or smudging
27. How many hair products do you use on a typical day? Besides shampoo and conditioner, I only use the Batiste Dry Shampoo after I haven’t washed my hair for a few days
28. What do you apply first, concealer or foundation? I apply concealer under my eyes first, then foundation and if I need to touch up anywhere else I apply concealer there
29. Do you ever consider taking makeup classes? Yes, I thought it would be fun to learn more about makeup, but I can’t take any classes here because they’ll most likely be in Danish
30. What do you love about makeup? I love being able to express who I am and I like the boost of confidence makeup gives me
