AD – PR Product | Simulation games are some of my favorite types of cozy games to play. One subgenre of simulation games I enjoy is job simulation, and in this post, I want to share 10 job simulation games I recommend.
What Are Job Simulation Games?
Job simulation games are games that revolve around doing a specific job. They often involve running your own shop or business, though not all job simulation games include running a shop. These games are popular because they are often low-stress and allow you to relax, and you get the satisfaction of completing a task. Furthermore, with a job simulation game, you can try new experiences that you likely do not have the opportunity for in real life. Simply put, job simulation games are a low-stakes way to try out different jobs, and here are 10 games I recommend playing if you want to try something new.
Cozy Job Simulation Games
Discounty
Supermarket simulation games have been quite popular recently, and I received a copy of Discounty from Keymailer. In Discounty, you manage a discount supermarket in the town of Blomkest. You organize your shop, manage the stock, work the checkout, and make trade deals. Outside of running the supermarket, you can explore Blomkest, meet the locals, and make decisions that ultimately affect the town. Discounty is honestly the best supermarket simulation game because you have the satisfaction of running a supermarket, but there is also a whole town of characters to meet and choices to make.

Gas Station Simulator
I received a copy of Gas Station Simulator from Keymailer, and in the game, you run a gas station. You can fuel cars, stock and sell items in the shop, open a workshop to repair cars, and run a car wash. There is always something to do in the game, and the quests are fun. You can also hire employees to help out and assign them specific duties such as working the cash register and cleaning around the gas station.

Hotel Architect
The next job simulation game I recommend is Hotel Architect, and I received a copy from Guillotine. In Hotel Architect, you build and manage hotels around the world. There is a campaign mode with different scenarios and objectives to complete. There is also a sandbox mode where you can build a hotel from the ground up. With either mode, you can customize the hotel to make it your own and hire employees to work there. All in all, Hotel Architect is a great hotel management game.

House Flipper
House Flipper is one of my most played cozy games, and you complete renovation jobs and buy, remodel, and sell homes. For the jobs, you will have a list of tasks to complete at the location, whereas you have free rein to do what you want when you buy and remodel a home to sell. I also have all the DLC, including Pets, which adds new quests and pets to the game, and Dine Out, which has restaurants, cafes, sushi bars, pizzerias, and more. House Flipper is a great game to sit and relax with and complete a job or home remodel.

Lake
I have a soft spot for mail delivery games, and Lake is the best mail delivery game I have played. In Lake, you play as Meridith, who takes a break from her job in the big city to deliver mail in her hometown for 2 weeks. During the game, you will drive around the town of Providence Oaks, deliver letters and packages, and meet the residents. There are also branching stories and choices to make in the game. Furthermore, I played through the DLC Season’s Greetings, where you play as Meridith’s dad Thomas as he delivers mail around the holidays.

Magical Greenhouse
I received a copy of Magical Greenhouse from Mggt Studio, and it is one of my favorite games I played in 2025. In the game, you run a potion shop and grow plants to use as ingredients. You will complete potion requests for the villagers and you can sell the remaining potions in your shop. As you grow new plants, you gather new ingredients and unlock new potions to create. Magical Greenhouse is a fun, whimsical job simulation game.

PowerWash Simulator
PowerWash Simulator is a simulation game where you run a power washing business. You will have a variety of jobs to complete in the town of Muckingham, from power washing a playground and a fire station to a car and a train. Each job is so satisfying to complete, and at the end of the job, you are shown a time-lapse of the cleaning you did. There is also a variety of free and paid DLC, giving you plenty to power wash in the game.

Retro Rewind
Retro Rewind is the most recent job simulation game I played, as I purchased it during the Steam Summer Sale. In Retro Rewind, you run your own video rental store in the 90s. As you play, you unlock new movie genres, upgrades like a popcorn machine and VHS repair station, and the ability to hire employees. You can also customize and expand your shop. Retro Rewind is planning a free update to add video game rentals, and I am looking forward to the update.

Sticky Business
In Sticky Business, you run a sticker shop. You design your own stickers to sell and pack orders. As you earn coins, you can unlock more slots in your shop, new papers for the stickers, and packing supplies. You use the hearts to unlock new sticker elements for creating your stickers. I love Sticky Business because you get to be creative when designing your stickers, and you get the satisfaction of packing the orders. Also, I have all the DLC, including the latest Seaside Tales, which adds 113 new stickers and 10 customer stories themed around the sea. Furthermore, the developers of Sticky Business have released Thrifty Business. In the game, you run a thrift store, and it is another great simulation game.

Tiny Bookshop
The last job simulation game on my list is Tiny Bookshop. In the game, you open a secondhand bookshop in Bookstonbury-by-the-Sea. You will buy books, stock the shelves, open up shop in different locations around town, recommend books when a customer needs help, and befriend the locals. You can also customize your bookshop and add decor for bonuses. Furthermore, a majority of the books in the game are based on real books, and you can be inspired when browsing your shelves. However, there is a small selection of in-game-only books that are noted with a silver seal. Tiny Bookshop is a low-stakes simulation game, and it is a joy to play.
