Normal Mystery Bag Unboxing

Updated on December 18th, 2021

Even though Normal is a Scandinavian store, I thought it would be fun to share the unboxing of a mystery bag I bought last week.

To begin with, Normal sells EU-imported goods ranging from personal care, home goods, and snacks, so I was not sure what the mystery bag would include. However, the bag was only 48 kr / $7, so there was not much to lose. I also thought it would be fun to see how much the products are worth so let’s begin!

Silkia Face Wax Strips: I actually received two boxes of these and each box contains 20 strips. The wax strips can be used for the face including the upper lip, but I do not wax because it is so painful, so I will not be using these.

£2.99 / $4 for 20 strips

Montagne Jeunesse Acai Body Smoothie: I love Montagne Jeunesse, and I have used the Buriti Fruit body smoothie before, so it will be nice to try out the Acai one. The body smoothie is a moisturizer that contains acai, pomegranate, and cranberry.

10 kr / $1.50

NG Untouchables Eau de Parfum: I never like receiving perfumes because 99% of the time the perfume is not for me, and that was the case for this one. The perfume is just too strong and flowery. The notes include:

  • Top Notes plum, iris, and saffron
  • Middle Notes Bulgarian rose, Arabian jasmine (sambac), and orris root
  • Base Notes amber, vetiver, and papyrus cane

€1.95 / $2 for 15 ml

Pielor Hammam El Hana Egyptian White Musk Hand Cream: The hand cream contains argan oil and shea butter that moisturizes the hands and is also long-lasting. The scent is fine, but I would not choose it myself since I like more fruity scented creams.
£1.50 / $2 for 30 ml

W7 Silicone Pebble Make Up Face Blender: I have heard of silicone blenders before, but I never tried one, so it will be nice to try something new. The blender is used with liquid foundation and concealer, and it does not soak up any product like regular makeup sponges.

£2.99 / $4

Ziaja Natural Olive Micellar Water: The micellar water is used to remove makeup, and it softens the skin and soothes irritation as well. I love using micellar water to remove my makeup, so I am looking forward to seeing how effective this one is. The bottle contains 50 ml, but I could only find the full size one for sale.

$12.99 for 200 ml

Dark Blond Moist Foundation in 05: The foundation is lightweight, moisturizing, and full coverage. There are only 4 shades of the foundation available, and 05 is the darkest shade they have, so it will be interesting to see if it actually suits me.

74 kr / $11Swatch of the Dark Blond Moist Foundation in 05

W7 Mega Matte Lips in Sinful: I actually have this exact lipstick that I reviewed last year, which you can read here. Sinful is a pink shade with a matte finish, and it is a decent liquid lipstick.

£4.95 / $6.50

Wet n Wild MegaLast Hard as Ice Top Coat: The nail polish can be worn alone to give a shiny look or as a top coat to make the nail color last up to a week. I do not wear nail polish, but I would wear this top coat alone since it is a clear shade.

$2.99

W7 Nail Polish: I seriously cannot find the name of the shade anywhere on the bottle, but I am assuming it is from the classic collection which are quick drying and long-lasting. I do not wear nail polish, and if I did I would not wear a brown shade.

£4.95 / $6.50

Wet n Wild Brush: There was only a protective cover over the brush, so I am not 100% sure what the brush is for, but I am pretty sure it is an eyeshadow brush. Anyways these brushes were the first makeup brushes I owned, and they were good for the time being, but I have since replaced them. I will use this brush though since it is brand new.

$.99

That is it! I am surprised that all of the products were beauty items since Normal does carry a variety of products. I did like that they were beauty products though since mystery bags can contain items you would never use, and I will also use around two-thirds of these products. Also, the items were worth around $50, which is pretty good compared to the $7 I paid.

Do you like mystery bags? Have you received anything good?

Mystery bags are fun since they’re usually cheap & you never know what you’ll get but you could end up with some great things!

I hope so too! I still haven’t tested out the foundation since I need to try it when I’m not going anywhere in case it’s a horrible match lol

I think it’s great you got so many beauty items. Even if you don’t love all of them, the box isn’t too expensive, and you can still give a few items away.

You got a decent amount of products here for only $7! It’s a shame the foundation is so dark as it sounds like a good formula. Really love the sound of the body smoothie, I’d love to try it myself!

There was a good amount of products & I haven’t tried out the foundation, but it comes with a pump dispenser which is nice!
The body smoothie is also nice!

Not a bad box all round, I love/hate subscription boxes, sometimes they are amazing, or sometimes they get repeated and boring

It’s a mystery bag instead of a subscription, but it was a great value!

This seems like a great box! We don’t have a ‘normal’ beauty box in the UK! We do have similar things though! X
