Last week was busy with reading a book, writing a paper on that book, doing more readings, and writing a proposal, so like last month, I am a bit late on sharing my monthly GoodieBox, but better late than never!
The theme for October’s box was Girl Boss and it contained items from brands created by women. GoodieBox is a Danish beauty subscription box, so the boxes can only be shipped to Denmark, Greenland, and the Faroe Islands. There is a GoodieBox subscription for the Netherlands, but the monthly boxes are different. Each box costs 169 kr / $26 a month and contains 5-7 items worth over 550 kr / $84. In this box I received 5 items, and 4 were full-sized.
Masque Me Up Hand Mask Gloves (Full Size): Masque Me Up was started by the Danish woman Elsemarie who also created the brand Miqura. The hand mask is worn for 15-20 minutes, and it leaves the hands soft and moisturized. I have already use this hand mask, and it was effective at reducing the dryness of my hands. I can see myself purchasing more of these hand masks during the winter.

Ilse Jacobsen Sea Buckthorn Eye Cream (Full Size): Ilse Jacobsen is a Danish woman who sells rain wear and skin care products. The eye cream contains buckthorn, macadamia oil, shea butter, and hyaluronic acids which regulate the skin’s moisture balance and reduces wrinkles, under eye bags, and swollen eyes. The cream is used morning and night on clean skin, and Ilse Jacobsen is cruelty-free. I have previously received the Isle Jacobsen Sea Buckthorn Body Shampoo and Body Lotion in my June 2018 GoodieBox and the Ilse Jacobsen Sun Seaweed Face Cream SPF 15 in my July 2017 GoodieBox. All of the products were nice, but they are on the more expensive side. I also do not use eye creams, but this cream seems nice as well.
195 kr / $30
Tromborg Shadow in Passion (Full Size): Tromborg was started by the Danish woman Marianne Tromborg, and Passion is a brown shade with a shimmer finish. The eye shadow has good pigment, does not streak, and is long-lasting. I love trying new eyeshadow and this shade is pretty, but it is not that unique. However, Tromborg is cruelty-free.
160 kr / $24.50
Pudderdåserne Alt I En Creme (Full-Size): Pudderdåserne is a skin care line started by Danish beauty bloggers Helene and Katja. The cream is an all in one cream that can be used for the face and body, and it contains shea butter to moisturize and care for the skin and SyriCalm to help calm and protect. The cream can be used as a face cream because it is effective against aging, dryness, inflammation, and redness, and the cream is perfume-free. Also, Pudderdåserne is cruelty-free. I love the idea of an all-in-one cream, and I think it will be great for the colder months.
65 kr / $10
Rodial Dragon’s Blood Sculpting Gel: Rodial is a UK brand started by Maria Hatzistefanis. The sculpting gel boosts the skin’s volume and fullness while firming the skin, protecting against environmental damage, and reducing redness, inflammation, and wrinkles. The gel is used in the morning and evening on clean skin, and it can be used alone or under a moisturizer or as a base for makeup. Rodial also does not test on animals. I have previously received the Rodial Dragon’s Blood XXL Lip Plumper in my March 2018 GoodieBox and the Rodial Dragon’s Blood Eye Mask in my July 2017 GoodieBox. The products are effective, but they are so expensive. Hopefully the sculpting gel will be as effective, but I will mainly use the gel to reduce redness.
765 kr / $117 for 50 ml
Overall, October’s box was a nice box. I think it would have been fun if this box was Halloween themed, but I love the theme Girl Boss. Since I have already used the hand gloves, I am looking forward to trying the all in cream next. This box also had a value of 607 kr / $93.
