Cozy cooking games are games that are generally relaxing to play, and cooking is the main focus of gameplay. A couple of games on this list have other gameplay elements, such as foraging and gardening, but the games have a large focus on cooking. 10 Cozy Cooking Games

#1 Cook For Love

In Cook For Love, you play as Clement, who is a young Frenchman hired at a popular Parisian restaurant. In the game, you will make over 40 recipes from drinks and soups to dinner and desserts. The story is also sweet, and I enjoyed playing the game. However, there is one downside. The price is quite high for the 2-3 hours of gameplay, and I would recommend waiting for a sale to pick it up.

#2 Cook, Serve, Delicious! 3?!

In the game, you manage a food truck as you serve food across the US. Each day in the story mode, you get to choose your own menu, and you make your customers’ orders at each stop. It is fun making the dishes, and you can also choose to play in either standard mode or chill mode. I have been playing in chill mode as the customers have infinite patience. Also, there are over 380 levels, which offer plenty of gameplay for the price! Cook, Serve, Delicious! 3?! is great if you are looking for a more fast-paced cooking game.

#3 Cookard

Cookard is a free-to-play game where you run a restaurant by stacking cards to prep and serve dishes to customers. The gameplay is unique for a cooking game, and it is fun completing quests and discovering new recipes. For example, to make a baguette, you need to put the flour and water cards below the whisk card and click the whisk to get dough. From there, you put the dough card below the oven card to bake it, and then serve it to the customer who requested a baguette. Also, the art style is cute, and it is a good cooking game!

#4 Fruitbus

I received a copy of Fruitbus from Neonhive. Fruitbus is a fun game where you take over your grandma’s Fruitbus and invite guests to her Farewell Feast. In the game, you drive the Fruitbus around and collect ingredients to make bowls, smoothies, sandwiches, and more. From there, you can stop at various locations and serve customers. Fruitbus is a unique cooking game where you run a food truck, but you also drive around and complete quests, and I recommend playing the game.

#5 Good Pizza, Great Pizza

Good Pizza, Great Pizza is one of my favorite cozy mobile games, but you can also play the game on PC and Nintendo Switch. In the game, you run a pizza shop where you take orders from customers and make pizzas. As you complete orders, you earn money to unlock new ingredients and upgrades to your pizza shop. There is also a story with 5 chapters and seasonal events, which makes Good Pizza, Great Pizza a fun cooking game.

#6 Lemon Cake

In Lemon Cake, you take over an abandoned bakery where you grow ingredients in the greenhouse, cook pastries and sweets in the kitchen, and serve baked goods to customers in the shop. I do like Lemon Cake, but it can be grindy to unlock upgrades to the bakery, including getting new plants for the greenhouse or another table in the shop. That said, Lemon Cake can be a good cooking game if you enjoy management-style games and you do not mind a bit of grinding.

#7 A Taste of the Past

A Taste of the Past is a short, free-to-play game where you play as Mei, a Chinese-American high school student who recently lost her mother. On the train, Mei realizes her ancestors have boarded as well, and they help her uncover her mother’s recipe for traditional noodles. There are various mini games, from finding ingredients in the fridge to making soup dumplings. A Taste of the Past is worth playing through and experiencing the story.

#8 Tokyo Cooking

I received a copy of Tokyo Cooking from RedDeer.Games. In the game, you run your own restaurant and make a variety of Japanese dishes. I find Tokyo Cooking to be the most in-depth cooking game on this list. For example, to make rice, you need to gather a pitcher and a bag of rice and then pour the rice into the pitcher. From there, you need to wash the rice in the sink, put the rice in the rice cooker with a pitcher full of water, and then start the rice cooker. There are no time limits, so you do not have to rush and stress to make the customer’s order. Tokyo Cooking is a good game, especially if you are looking for a more realistic cooking game.

#9 Venba

In Venba, you play as an Indian mom who immigrated to Canada in the 1980s. Throughout the game, you follow her family’s story and cook various Indian dishes. The developers also added an in-game cookbook so you can make the dishes from the game yourself. Overall, Venba is a great narrative cooking game.

#10 Wanderstop

I received a copy of Wanderstop from Ivy Road. In Wanderstop, you play as fallen fighter Alta as she helps manage a tea shop in a magical forest and tends to customers who pass through. In the game, you will grow plants to use as ingredients, collect tea leaves, and make tea for the customers who visit the shop. I liked the story, and the story does deal with trauma and burnout, so do be aware of that before you play. Overall, Wanderstop is a great game with a unique story and fun tea-making mechanics.
