AD – PR Product | I have played my fair share of farming games over the years. and I am thrilled to talk about the upcoming game Loftia, which takes cozy farming to a whole new level.
What is Loftia?
Loftia is a cozy, MMO (massively multiplayer online) solarpunk game. In the game, you build a sustainable city with other players, and there is farming, crafting, exploring, customizing, and more that you can do in the game.
What Can You Do in Loftia?
Sustainable Farming
In Loftia, there is a focus on sustainable farming including hydroponics (growing plants without soil), aquaponics (combines hydroponics with aquaculture), and polyculture (growing more than one plant species in the same space). You can grow 50+ fruits, vegetables, and flowers on your home balcony or on communal farms. You will also be able to become a beekeeper and build beehives or a winemaker and have hanging gardens and fruit vines. Furthermore, you will be able to cook with the food that you grow.
Renewable Energy Projects
There will be renewable energy projects for you to complete in the world with other players including building wind turbines, hydro energy stations, and solar panels.
Recycled Crafting and Thrifting
When you explore the world, you will be able to collect materials that you can then upcycle. For example, you can turn an old tire into a garden planter or use reclaimed wood to build furniture. There will also be honesty boxes where you can share, donate, and exchange goods with other players. Furthermore, there will be a Thrift Store where you can shop for previously owned and loved clothing, decorations, and other items for your home. You can also donate unwanted items to the thrift store.
Exploring
You will be able to explore the world of Loftia, which is comprised of floating islands. There are 3 unique districts of Loftia City that include parks, restaurants, hang-out zones, farms, and more. You can also work part-time at the boba shop, bakery, and study cafe and run errands and help serve meals. There will also be fishing and more floating islands for you to explore!
Adventures
Loftia will also have adventures for 3-5 players. These adventures will be similar to dungeons or raids in other MMO games, but there will be no combat. Instead, the focus of the adventures will be on teamwork, platforming, and completing puzzles. There will also be Grand Adventures for 10 players.
Friendships
As you play Loftia, you will be able to grow friendships with other players and NPCs (non-player characters). You can join clubs with players who share common interests, and you can collaborate and work together at the study cafe. You can also play solo if you would rather not socialize with other players.
Customization
In Loftia, you will be able to customize your character, your pet, and your home. Character customization will include many different skin colors, facial features, clothing, and disability and accessibility options. For pets, there is a dog, cat, duck, bunny, frog, turtle, alpaca, capybara, penguin, red panda, fox, and mini highland cow you can adopt, and you can even dress them up! You will have your own home in the game that you can personalize with furniture, decorations, and wallpapers. You can also share housing with 5 friends and decorate the home together. Furthermore, Loftia added neighborhoods that will allow you to attach your personal island to other players’ islands to form a small community.
These features are not complete, and the developers Qloud Games (they are an Australian independent game studio that began in 2022) are continuously adding new and requested features to the game.
When is Loftia Releasing?
You can wishlist Loftia right now on Steam! Alpha Access for the game will begin in December 2024, and Early Access will be released in 2026. During Early Access, Loftia will be available on Steam, PC, Mac, and Nintendo Switch.

I’ve seen this game advertised to me a lot on Instagram and I think it’s an interesting concept! I love how adorable the game is too. I love how this game can reach everyone to be a little more sustainable in their everyday lives as well.
I definitely agree it’s an interesting concept and different than any other cozy farming game I’ve seen! Yes the game can help people be more aware of steps they can take in their real life to be more sustainable!

I really like the idea that there are/will be games that focus on environmental issues as a central theme to the overall play. Building a sustainable city is such a cool idea!
