Is the Jolie Beauty Bomb Dot Com Palette Worth It?

Updated on December 30th, 2024

AD – PR Product | It has been a while since my last eyeshadow palette review, and this time I will be reviewing the Bomb Dot Com Glitter Palette from Jolie Beauty, which I was kindly gifted.

Jolie Beauty is a makeup brand based in the UK, and they ship internationally. Jolie Beauty is cruelty-free, and they have many vegan products including their brushes, lashes, and the Bomb Dot Com palette. The Bomb Dot Com palette is a pressed glitter palette with 24 shades. The glitter is safe for the eyes, face, and body.

The exterior packaging of the Jolie Beauty Bomb Dot Com palette. The packaging is a gold glitter color and has Bomb Dot Com in the middle and Jolie Beauty on the bottom

The 24 pressed glitters shades include:

  • Lagoon: blue
  • Steel: light blue
  • Cocoa: brown
  • Princess: pink iridescent
  • Ballet: pale pink
  • Sugar: white
  • Ignite: dark red
  • Mermaid: teal
  • Firefly: blue iridescent
  • Infinity: sky blue iridescent
  • Showgirl: dark pink
  • Crowned: light gold
  • Swell: royal blue
  • Amazon: green
  • Regal: purple
  • Cherry Bomb: red
  • Superstar: magenta
  • Golden ticket: gold
  • Seabed: dark blue
  • Zest: chartreuse
  • Disco: silver iridescent
  • Rosy: rose
  • Blossom: light pink
  • Just Jolie: bronze
The 24 pressed glitter shades of the Jolie Beauty Bomb Dot Com palette

There are many colorful shades in the Bomb Dot Com palette making it perfect for parties, special occasions, and holidays like Christmas. Most of the shades have good pigment, but a few are not as pigmented as the others including Sugar, Rosy, and Blossom. I do find Sugar the most problematic shade in the palette because it is more chunky and does not show up that well. However, my favorite shades in the palette are Swell, Amazon, Princess, and Disco. Since the shades are pressed glitters, you will either need to use your finger or a flat brush to apply them and pat them on. You can also use a flat brush that has been sprayed with setting spray for easier application. There is a little fallout because of the glitter, so I do recommend starting with your eye makeup first before doing your face makeup. The glitter shades are best used as toppers to complete an eye look, and you can also use them alone, but you can not blend them like you would with regular eyeshadow. The shades are long-lasting, but I do recommend using an eyeshadow primer or a glitter primer to help prevent creasing. As far as removing the glitter eyeshadow looks, I found it easy to remove the glitter with makeup wipes, and 1-2 wipes is enough for both eyes. The palette itself comes with a full-size mirror, which makes it great for traveling. I normally do swatches as part of my palette reviews, but the pressed glitters would be difficult to swatch, and instead, I did two makeup looks.

Makeup Look #1 – As a Topper

As I mentioned, the Bomb Dot Com palette would be great for holidays, and I did a quick red and green makeup look. First I used the JSC Jawbreaker palette then for the red side, I used the Bomb Dot Com shades Cherry Bomb as a topper, Golden Ticket in the inner corner, and Ignite under the eye. For the green side, I used Amazon as a topper, Disco in the inner corner, and Mermaid under the eye. The shades were easy to use as toppers, but for under the eyes, they are a bit more difficult to use because you need to pat them on.

My red and green makeup look using the Jeffree Star Cosmetics Jawbreaker palette and the Jolie Beauty Bomb Dot Com palette

Makeup Look #2 – Palette Only

For another look, I used only the Bomb Dot Com palette to see how my makeup would look with only pressed glitter shades. I used Swell in the middle, Seabed in the outer corner, and Disco in the inner corner. I do not think it looks as good as the previous look because you have to pat on each shade and you cannot blend the glitter like you would with regular eyeshadow. I think it would look better if I only used one glitter shade.

Final Thoughts

So is the Jolie Beauty Bomb Dot Com worth it? I think the palette is worth it because there is only the one rather problematic shade Sugar, and the rest would be great as toppers or worn alone. Also, if you love colorful glitter eyeshadow, then this palette would be perfect for you. I personally love doing colorful makeup looks, so I definitely see myself using this palette in the future. However, if you do not use glitter eyeshadow or you tend to do neutral makeup looks, then this palette would probably not be for you.

Overall, the Jolie Beauty Bomb Dot Com Glitter Palette is a great pressed glitter palette with mostly good pigment, but there is a little fallout and the pressed glitters need to be applied with a finger or flat brush.

I’ve never worn glittery make-up before but these do look good! I think the range of colours is excellent as it covers a wide range of skin tones being able to find something that works.

I don’t tend to wear eyeshadow because it never stays put on me but I have lots of friends who ADORE glitter eyeshadow so I can recommend this palette to them now, thank you. And my favourite shade is definitely Regal 🙂

Gosh it doesn’t get much more fun than glitter makeup! These shades look amazing but might be too much on my nude/rose gold daytime look. Will check out their other palettes too as I am getting increasingly more attracted to vegan make up. Non-vegan just feels somehow a bit passé.

Yes glitter makeup is so fun, but there is a time & a place to wear it haha
Yes I agree. There’s some ingredients I’m fine with like beeswax but others like shellac or carmine where bugs are crushed…I don’t want it

I have never heard of this brand, but I love the glittery shades in the pallette! This will do well for Christmas for that extra bit of sparkle. Lovely review…I may need to invest in this one!

The palette looks soo pretty! It’s also so helpful that you went in with two different looks and methods of using the glitters, I’ve never used pressed glitter before so this really helped me see what it’s like to work with! Thank you for sharing 💫

You’re welcome & the palette is gorgeous! This is my first pressed glitter palette so it was a bit of an experiment to see how to best use this palette since it isn’t like regular eyeshadow.

So sparkly! I usually don’t wear sparkles, because I feel like it always takes days for me to get them all off 😂🤷‍♀️, but these do have very pretty colors! My favorite thing is the fun names that the different colors have! Thank you for your honest review.
