For my next book review, I wanted to share my opinion on This Book Loves You by Pewdiepie.
I have been a fan of Pewdiepie for a long time, and I remember when he released this book, but I held off on buying it until now when I got the eBook. Unlike traditional books, This Book Loves You contains quotes and images. However, the quotes are demotivational and revolve around how you are not successful, you have no friends, no one cares about you or loves you, and everyone else is better than you. Only a few of the quotes are halfway decent or remotely funny. The images themselves include pictures of Pewdiepie dressed up in various costumes while the rest of the images and graphics are random but relate to quote on that page. I would say that the best part of this book is the images since the quotes are a major let down. Also, the book censors profanity, but I do not understand the point in the censorship since this book is for mature audiences that can understand demotivational quotes. Even though Pewdiepie’s fan base includes children who watch his YouTube videos, this is book is definitely not for young children or people with low self-esteem. The book itself is a very short read since it is just images with short quotes, and I finished “reading” it in one 15 minute sitting. I do not believe this book is worth spending money on, and after reading it once I do not see a point in going back to read the quotes again or even to look at the pictures. Even if you are a Pewdiepie fan I would still not recommend this book since it is not worth your time or money.
Overall, This Book Loves You by Pewdiepie contains demotivational quotes and related images that are not funny or worth reading.
