The last time I was at the Sephora in Copenhagen, I bought the Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick in Milk Shake.
Milk Shake is a light pink shade that is a bit too light for my skin tone. The lipstick does have good pigment, and I love the wand with the small doe foot applicator. This lipstick applies liquid and dries completely matte within a few minutes without feeling sticky on my lips. The lipstick also applies evenly and I only need to use 1 layer. This lipstick is long-lasting, but it is not transfer-proof when eating because the color fades. However, the lipstick does not fade when drinking. A big con of this lipstick is that it is very drying (more so than most other lipsticks like the Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick), and the lipstick also settles into the lines of my lips. If I do not exfoliate my lips and use a moisturizer before applying this lipstick, the lipstick will become dry and crumbly and look horrible after a couple of hours. Like with all liquid lipsticks, I would definitely recommend using a lip scrub and moisturizer or lip balm before applying this lipstick. I also believe that the price of this lipstick is too high given the quality of the formula, and there are better liquid lipsticks out there for the price. There are 34 shades of this lipstick available, but I cannot recommend purchasing one.
Overall, the Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick is long-lasting, but I wish it was completely transfer-proof and not so drying.

I was disappointed by this one too. I wanted it to be way more amazing than my nyx lip lingerie bc of the higher price but they are very comparable. Definitely paying for the brand!

I agree with you that the the nyx lip lingerie is similar! It’s a shame that abh couldn’t make a high quality liquid lipstick 😕

I love the color! I haven’t used any of the ABH liquid lipsticks yet but after your review I think I will not try this out. I don’t like very dry lipproducts, I prefer moisturizing ones!

I would recommend the NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams! They are like liquid lipsticks, but they are not drying!

Can’t speak for the quality of the product itself as I’ve never tried it. The shade and packaging look stunning though, shame the product isn’t as lovely x

Glad that I read this because I was thinking about purchasing one but now it doesn’t seem worth it! They aren’t cheap and I would have been disappointed if I spent so much on something which wasn’t high quality 😕 thank you!

I have this product in the colour ‘Allison’ I love the colour and the fact that it doesn’t budge before eating but I completely agree that it goes so crumbly if you don’t moisturise! Its such a shame because the staying power is so great! Anyway great blog post, very informative! 🙂 El xox
