My Birthday Wish List

Updated on March 5th, 2024

I have not been following new makeup releases because I feel like I already have so much, but since my 25th birthday is at the beginning of September I wanted to make a wish list of things I would like.

Marzia La Frutta Eyeshadow Palette

Marzia released a new eyeshadow palette for the summer, and I want it! I have her Natura Palette and I love it, so I believe this palette will be great as well. The La Frutta palette includes 5 gorgeous fruit-themed matte and shimmer shades.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Norvina Palette

When I started looking at new makeup releases I saw that Anastasia Beverly Hills is releasing a new palette, and it looks gorgeous. The palette includes 7 matte and 7 shimmer cool-toned shades including 3 purples shades. I love the Modern Renaissance Palette and I adore the shades in the Norvina Palette so I would love to have it. The palette is available on July 17th at Anastasia Beverly Hill’s website.

Tarte Shape Tape Matte Foundation

The bottle and applicator for the Tarte Shape Tape Matte Foundation

The Shape Tape Foundation was released earlier this year, and it is based on the Shape Tape Concealer. The foundation is full coverage with a matte finish, and it absorbs oil and shine. I regularly use the Amazonian Clay Foundation and the Shape Tape Concealer, so I would like to try the Shape Tape Matte Foundation.

$39 at Tarte

Tarte Shape Tape Setting Powder

The Tarte Shape Tape Setting Powder opened

This setting powder is a newer release from Tarte, and it is a translucent powder that sets makeup. The powder also mattifies, absorbs oil, and blurs fine lines and imperfections. The powder seems like it would go great with the Shape Tape Foundation as well as other liquid foundations I use.

$34 at Tarte

NYX Love You So Mochi Electric Pastels Eyeshadow Palette

This palette was released at the beginning of this year, and it is inspired by the Japanese treat mochi. The palette includes 10 matte and shimmer pastel shades. I love colorful palettes and I also like mochi so this palette would be perfect for me.

$20 at NYX

Urban Decay All Nighter Pollution Protection Makeup Setting Spray

The bottle of the Urban Decay All Nighter Pollution Protection Makeup Setting Spray

I normally use the All Nighter Setting Spray, but I recently ran out of it, so I would like to try this one. This spray is the same as All Nighter, but it includes minerals that protect against environmental damage. The spray also protects against oxidation and makes makeup last for 16 hours.

$34 at Urban Decay

Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge

The Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge

This sponge is the only thing that is not a newer release on my wish list. I prefer using this sponge over the Beautyblender since it is cheaper and has 3 different sides that can be used for larger areas of the face, under the eye and nose, and imperfections. The sponge can be used damp or dry with liquid makeup products.

$6 at Real Techniques

Such a great wishlist, I wish we had access to just a fraction of these products in South Africa. Definitely pass your wishlist on to your friends/fam πŸ˜€ I hope you get a few goodies on your wishlist.

Thank you! That’s a shame. Tarte isn’t sold here in Denmark so I’ve passed this on to my mum who lives in the US 😊

I love the RT sponge!! So good. I’ve never actually tried a classic Beauty Blender, so I’m not sure how it compares. The La Frutta palette is so cute! I’d like to get it just for that amazing yellow.

The beautyblender is a good sponge, but it’s so expensive & it doesn’t have a flat edge like the RT sponge. Both sponges pretty much perform the same as far as applying & blending makeup, so for me the RT is much better! 😊
The palette is cute & I’m living for the watermelon shade!

I have actually used the Tarte Shape Tape Foundation in matte and hydrate and I love both of them! I ended up buying the hydration one since I have extremely dry skin that I didn’t need one that was that full coverage. The RT sponge is one of my favorites. I have yet to try the BB, but it’s next on my list so I can compare the two! The one thing that you have on your list that I want to get ASAP is the Norvina palette, so I honestly can’t wait til it comes out! I hope you get everything you want for your birthday πŸ™‚ xx

That’s great you loved both foundations! I have oily skin so I know the matte one should be better for me 😊
The BB is a good sponge, but it’s so expensive & I like that the RT sponge has the flat edge!
The Norvina palette is finally out, but I need to wait until it comes to the Sephora here 😭
      I hope so too!

I’ve spend so much money recently, so I’m just going to wait it out and still play with the palettes I own! I really do like the RT sponge. Out of all the affordable options, it’s definitely my favorite!

I’m on the other end where I’ve barely spent any money on me so now that my bday is coming up I have an excuse! It’s good to play w/ the makeup you already have though!
I agree the RT is my fav too. I’ve tried other afforfable sponges & they’re really dense & have odd shapes

I am really interested in Norvina too. And I’m almost out of my shape tape and I’m freaking out because I love it so much. Also, I’ve been looking into buying some Milk products as well. Great post, lovely!

I use the Tarte Amazonian Clay foundation and concealer. Is the shape tape line so much better?! I need to know lol it’s hard to imagine anything better than the products they’ve already had. Also I love the name and colors on that Mochi palette!!

The Shape Tape Concealer is the best full coverage concealer! I haven’t tried the Amazonian Clay concealer so I can’t compare them though. I know Tarte has been expanding the Shape Tape line so if I do get the foundation & setting powder I can compare them to the Amazonian Clay Foundation & Setting Powder which I regularly use πŸ˜„
