AD – PR Product | I have fine, straight hair, and I do not do much when it comes to styling my hair. When I was approached by TYMO, I thought it would be a good opportunity to try something new with their CurlPro Plus.

What is TYMO?
TYMO started in 2019, and they specialize in hair styling tools, including styling brushes, hair curlers, flat irons, and hair dryers. Shipping is available to the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, the EU, Australia, and other international countries. I had my choice of product, and I have been gifted the TYMO CurlPro Plus to try out.
What is the TYMO CurlPro Plus?
The CurlPro Plus is a wired automatic curler. The curler costs $99.99 / £99.99 / €94,69, and it is available with a US, UK, EU, or AU plug. There are 3 heat levels, including 320°F/160°C, 365°F/185°C, and 410°F/210°C. The lowest heat setting is ideal for fine or damaged hair, while the highest setting works well with thick and coarse hair. The CurlPro Plus is better suited for long and medium hair lengths. However, it can be used for all hair types and lengths. Also, the curler has 600 million/cm³ negative ions to minimize hair damage, reduce frizz, and make the hair shiny. Additional features of the CurlPro Plus include a styling timer that beeps after 8 seconds and an auto-off after 10 minutes without use. There is also an anti-tangling mechanism that stops the curler and reverses the direction if the hair becomes tangled.

My Experience with the TYMO CurlPro Plus
First, I read through the instructions that came with the curler, then I got to work with styling my hair. I took small sections of my hair and inserted them into the curler. I pressed the rotating button, and the curler started wrapping my hair around the barrel. Then I waited for the beep, at which point I removed my hair.
The curler was easy to use as a beginner. Though at one point, I had too big a section of hair, which caused it to tangle. The anti-tangling mechanism does work, and the curler stopped curling my hair, then reversed the direction so I could remove it. For my first time using the curler, I thought my hair looked nice. However, there were some curls that were looser than others after brushing them out. I did find that smaller sections worked better as the curls were more defined and the hair was less likely to tangle in the curler.

The next time I used the curler, I timed how long it took to curl all my hair. It took around 20 minutes from start to finish. Most of the time was spent on sectioning my hair, as the curling part itself was straightforward. Since I had a better understanding of how to use the curler and I focused on smaller and more equal sections, the curls were more consistent after brushing them out. Also, the curls do last throughout the day without using any other hair products, and they become looser as the day goes on. The curls would last even longer if I used hairspray after curling my hair.

Would I Recommend the TYMO CurlPro Plus?
I do think the TYMO CurlPro Plus is a great curler. I like that the curler is automatic, and it is easy to use even for someone who does not regularly style their hair. Personally, I do not see myself using the curler every day as I work from home. However, I will definitely continue using it on the weekends and for special occasions.
