10 Cozy Games I Want to Play in 2026

To follow up on my 10 Books I Want to Read in 2026 post, I want to share the cozy games I want to play this year. This list includes a few games that are expected to release in 2026, along with games that I already own but have not gotten around to playing yet.

Botany Manor ✅

Botany Manor released in 2024, and the game is set in 1890 in a Victorian manor. You play as botanist, Arabella Greene, who is finishing her botanical research book. In the game, you have to figure out how to grow the plants with what is available in the manor. I have been wanting to play Botany Manor, but I could not justify spending $25 on a game that takes 3-4 hours to complete. However, I did buy the Wholesome Snack 2025: Showcase Bundle through Humble Bundle for €12.85 / $15, which included Botany Manor and 8 other games. Since I now own Botany Manor, I would love to play the game in 2026.

Dordogne ✅

Dordogne released in 2023, and I bought the game during the Steam sale in December, as it looked like a unique and cozy game. In Dordogne, you play as Mimi as she remembers her childhood and the times she shared with her late grandmother.

ILA: A Frosty Glide ✅

ILA: A Frosty Glide released in 2025, and the game follows ILA, a witch-in-training, who is looking for her lost cat Coco while using a skateboard broom to navigate the world. I backed ILA: A Frosty Glide on Kickstarter after playing the demo last year. Now that the full game is out, I would love to play it in 2026.

Moonlight Peaks

Moonlight Peaks is released on July 7th, 2026. In Moonlight Peaks, you play as the child of Count Dracula who wants to prove that a life of compassion is possible. In the game, you tend to your supernatural farm, master the art of potion-making and spell-casting, befriend the local werewolves, witches, mermaids, and humans, and even find love. I played the demo of Moonlight Peaks two years ago, which focused on the farming aspect. I thoroughly enjoyed the demo, and I would like to play the full game when it releases.

On Your Tail

On Your Tail released in 2024. The game follows Diana as she investigates a thief who has been plaguing the seaside town of Borgo Marina. On Your Tail is another game that has been on my wish list, and it was also included in the Wholesome Snack Bundle with Botany Manor.

Paralives ✅

The game released in early access on May 25th, 2026, after the December 2025 release was delayed. Paralives is a life simulation game about building homes, creating characters, and managing their lives. The game will be $39.99, and all updates and expansions will be free. I have been following the progress of Paralives for years, and I am looking forward to trying out a new life simulation game.

Penelope Pendrick and the Art of Deceit

The game released in 2025, and you play as Penelope Pendrick, who is investigating the sudden disappearance of three people in the sleepy town of Carlisle. I have played the demo of Penelope Pendrick and the Art of Deceit, and I loved it because it reminds me of old-school Nancy Drew PC games. Also, I am in a Nancy Drew Games Facebook group, and those who have played Penelope Pendrick highly recommend the game. I am looking forward to playing the full game in 2026.

Pine Hearts ✅

Pine Hearts released in 2024, and I played the demo and enjoyed it, but I never played the full game. In Pine Hearts, you embark on a cozy hiking expedition in the Pine Hearts nature reserve and scale the mountain your father never managed to climb while helping others along the way.

Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar

Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar released in 2025, and you move to Zephyr Town and grow crops, raise animals, get to know the locals, and sell your wares at the town’s bazaar. I love the original Harvest Moon games, and I received the Premium Edition of Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar for my birthday, which includes the game, art book, soundtrack, sheep plush, and cloth poster. I am looking forward to starting the game in 2026.

The Witch’s Bakery

I backed The Witch’s Bakery on Kickstarter, and the game is expected to release in August 2026 for $19.99. The game follows the witch Lunne, who runs a bakery in Paris. Lunne will also be able to explore Paris, build relationships, and improve her magic. I am looking forward to the release, and I also got the cookbook add-on, which is made in collaboration with a French pastry chef and will include recipes for pastries in the game.
