AD – PR Product | With fall now in full swing, I wanted to share a list of cozy witchy games you can play this season.
What are Cozy Witchy Games?
Cozy games are games you play to unwind and relax. Cozy games often do not include combat, but some cozy games can involve combat. In these instances, combat is not the main focus. With these game recommendations, the main character you play as is a witch. Also, cozy games vary widely in genre, and I included various witchy games from farming and life simulation to story-based and puzzle games.
10 Cozy Witchy Games
Camp W
Camp W is a free-to-play story-based game on Steam. In Camp W, you play as a young witch who finds themselves at a summer camp in the Human Realm. At the camp, you make friends, cast spells, and uncover secrets. I have completed one playthrough of Camp W, which took around 3 hours. I enjoyed the story, and there are frequent decisions you can make throughout the game. There is also replayability, as there are 7 different endings! If you enjoy fun, story-rich games, Camp W is worth checking out.

The Cauldron Kids: The Summoning of Mr. Vermicelli
The Cauldron Kids is a story-rich game that is available on Steam for $4.99. I kindly received a copy to play and review from the developer and publisher, Pet Golem Games. In the game, you play as a 6-year-old witch who, along with her twin sister, wants to bring their frog plushie, Mr. Vermicelli, to life. I enjoyed playing The Cauldron Kids, and it is such a charming game. There are also mini-games to play throughout, which keep the game fun. A playthrough of The Cauldron Kids takes around an hour, and there is replayability with playing as the other sister and completing the Steam achievements.

Harmony’s Odyssey
Harmony’s Odyssey is a puzzle game available on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch for $14.99. In the game, you solve various puzzles to help Harmony, the witch, bring peace to the land. There are 7 different types of puzzles to solve, from jigsaw puzzles to spot the differences, with over 100 total puzzles in the game. The puzzles are fun to figure out, and I do recommend checking out Harmony’s Odyssey if you like puzzle games.

Hogwarts Legacy
Hogwarts Legacy is an open-world role-playing game available on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch for $59.99. In the game, you play as a fifth-year Hogwarts student during the 1800s. However, dark forces threaten the wizarding world, and you hold the key to stopping them. I have been playing Hogwarts Legacy for over 35 hours on the Switch, and I still have a lot left to do in the game. In Hogwarts Legacy, you attend classes, learn spells, make friends, and explore Hogwarts. You also have quests that take you outside of Hogwarts, including Hogsmeade and the surrounding areas, and you can explore them all from your broom. There is combat in the game, but there are four difficulty levels you can choose from, including Story and Easy, to make the game more cozy and casual. Hogwarts Legacy is a fun witchy game that I do recommend.

Mika and The Witch’s Mountain
Mika and The Witch’s Mountain is a fantasy adventure game available on Steam for $19.99. I received a free copy for review from Keymailer. In the game, you play as Mika, who is a young witch tasked with delivering packages to the townspeople on the island. I have finished the story of Mika and The Witch’s Mountain, which took around 5 hours and was a joy to play. The main objective is to fly around the island and deliver packages, and as you progress, you get upgrades to your broom that allow you to fly higher. There are also lost items you can find and deliver, along with tarot cards and collectibles to find. Mika and The Witch’s Mountain is such a great witchy game with a nice story.

Potions: A Curious Tale
Potions: A Curious Tale is an adventure game on Steam for $19.99. I received a free copy of the game from Keymailer. In Potions: A Curious Tale, you play as the witch Luna, who wants to become a potions master. You gather resources, brew potions, solve puzzles, and complete quests. There is combat in the game where you use potions, but there are often ways to use the environment to defeat the enemies instead of fighting with potions. I have only played for about 3 hours of Potions: A Curious Tale, and I have seen that the game takes around 10 hours to complete. If you do not mind a game with combat, Potions: A Curious Tale is worth checking out.

The Sims 4: Realm of Magic
Realm of Magic is a Game Pack for The Sims 4, which is available on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox for $19.99. The Sims is likely not the first game you think of when it comes to witches, but The Sims 4: Realm of Magic adds the occult lifestate Spellcasters. You can either create a Spellcaster in Create-A-Sim (CAS) or you can have your sim travel to The Magic Realm through the portal in Glimmerbrook (the small world included in Realm of Magic). In The Magic Realm, your sim will then have to complete a quest for one of the three Sages to become a Spellcaster.
Once your sim is a Spellcaster, they can learn various spells and potions, gain perks as they level up in rank, and have familiars to help with spell casting. Outside of gameplay, there is a good selection of magical and mystical CAS to dress up your sims in or items to build with. If you play The Sims 4 and are interested in playing as a witch, I suggest picking up Realm of Magic during a sale.

Witches x Warlocks
Witches x Warlocks is a free-to-play story-based game on Steam. The game does have a paid DLC, but there is plenty of gameplay in the free version. In the game, you play as the witch Fay Nightshade, who has 7 days to study before her final exam on Halloween. However, she does not know any spells! Each day, you can choose to make or buy potions, learn spells, or work a part-time job to earn money for the potions. On Halloween, you will take the final exam, and hopefully, you learned enough to pass!
I like the partial voice acting in the story, and one playthrough takes around 2 hours. Witches x Warlocks has multiple endings, so it can be worth playing through a few times. If you enjoy magical themes and Halloween vibes, you might also like checking out a halloween mask shop to get into the spooky spirit while you play.

Witchy Life Story
Witchy Life Story is another story-based game that is available on Steam and Nintendo Switch for $19.99. In the game, you play as a witch who is sent to Flora to help the villagers and save the harvest festival. You tend your garden, make and deliver spells, befriend the villagers, and even find romance. If you like visual novels, Witchy Life Story can be worth picking up on sale, and a playthrough is about 5 hours long.

Wylde Flowers
Wyde Flowers is a farming and life simulation game available on PC and Nintendo Switch for $24.99. In the game, you play as Tara, who moves to Fairhaven to help on her grandma’s farm. In doing so, she learns about the coven of witches and joins them. The game is fully voice-acted, which I appreciate, as many farming and life sims do not have voice acting. I also enjoy expanding the farm, completing quests, and befriending the villagers. This past September, Wylde Flowers had the final update that added a quest to fix the lighthouse, new magical creatures, jewelry customization, and new recipes. So far, I have played Wylde Flowers for over 12 hours, and I have only reached the summer of year one (you start playing in the spring of year one)! If you are looking for a witchy farming life sim, I highly recommend Wylde Flowers!

Some of these look like a ton of fun! We’ve been so stinking stressed and busy lately that its been hard to sit down to have a break. We’re on the downhill of things and just sent back the dumpster rental, so I think we’re about at the point to plan a little family game night. I know my kids love harry potter, so I may need to surprise them with the hogwarts game! Thanks for sharing!
The games are a lot of fun, and I definitely recommend Hogwarts Legacy! It’s fun playing as a Hogwarts student and exploring the world.
I love playing Hogwarts legacy!
It is a fun game!
So many cool games! I’m so disappointed in Hogwarts Legacy – it was great but for some reason, it keeps crashing after I completed the storyline and I don’t think it’s related to my computer ๐ I’m still digging the Sims but would love to check out Camp W and Witchy Life Story this month. Thank you for sharing!
That’s so weird Hogwarts Legacy keeps crashing after the story! I’m playing on the Switch and I haven’t experienced any crashing, but I haven’t completed the story yet either
Camp W and Witchy Life Story are both great story-based games!
I never knew there were so many witchy games! This is a spook-tacular round up! Hogwarts Legacy sounds like it would be incredible, but as though I could lose a lot of time playing it!
I can totally imagine curling up on the chair on a wet and windy autumn afternoon to play one of these.
Thanks for sharing!
There are a lot of witchy games, and Hogwarts Legacy is so fun! You can spend hours just flying around and exploring the world.
You’re welcome!
Lots of different genres here, I know my stepdaughter would love Hogwarts Legacy!
Hogwarts Legacy is such a fun game especially for those who are fans of the Harry Potter universe!
What a great list of cozy games! They’re the perfect activity to enjoy on a fall day. I especially like the sound of Witchy Life Story. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much! Witchy Life Story is a fun story-based game, and I do like that you actually make the spells to deliver!
Great post! Thanks for the ideas! ๐
Thanks and you’re welcome!
I like the way the first looks so cute. I also like how it has different endings.
Camp W is a cute game, and it’s nice when there are multiple endings!
Some of these sound so fun. I love The Sims but haven’t tried that add on before.
They are fun games! The Sims Realm of Magic Game Pack is a lot of fun too!

Thank you! The Sims 4 Realm of Magic Game Pack is a lot of fun and there’s a lot your sim can do as a spellcaster!
I don’t play any kind of games like these, I’m afraid, I’m a real dinosaur! But I like the sound of the Wylde Flowers one, taking in the seasons, even if it does seem to be quite long. ๐
Haha you can play games at any age though! I love Wylde Flowers, but it is a long game.
These are cool games for autumn and Halloween season. Thank you for the recommendations.
Thank you and you’re welcome!
Oh, my goodness these games are perfect to play at this time of year. I will be spending some cozy evenings on some of them. Love this!
Thank you!! I hope you enjoy playing them!
