I enjoy Lush’s products, however, there are no Lush stores in Denmark, and the closest is in Malmo, Sweden. For my birthday, my friend kindly sent me the Lush Garden Party Gift Set, which I wanted to review here as the set and individual products are currently available on Lush’s website.
What is Lush?
If you are not familiar with Lush, they were founded in 1995. They sell fresh and handmade skincare, body care, hair care, perfume, and makeup products. All of Lush’s products are vegetarian, and 95% of their year-round products are vegan. They also do not test on animals, and numerous of their products are available without packaging to help reduce waste.
What is included in the Lush Garden Party Gift Set?
The gift set includes the Honey I Washed The Kids Soap, Sleepy Shower Gel, and Ro’s Argan Body Conditioner. Also, the gift box is eco-friendly and made from 100% recycled paper and board. The gift box is wrapped in biodegradable natural twine, and inside are eco pops, which are biodegradable as well. You can regift, reuse, or recycle the gift box.

Lush Honey I Washed The Kids Soap Review
The Honey I Washed The Kids Soap is one of Lush’s naked products, therefore, the soap has no packaging, and it is plastic-free. The soap base is made from a mixture of rapeseed oil and coconut oil and contains British honey and aloe vera to moisturize the skin. The soap is not vegan since it contains honey, and the soap also contains orange for astringent and cleansing benefits and bergamot for the uplifting and shine-enhancing properties. Also, the soap is intended to be used in the shower or bath to provide a gentle cleanse.
I normally use shower gels when bathing, so it was different using a bar of soap in the shower. I liked the soap though, and it has a nice honey scent. The soap lathers well and my body did feel clean. Also, I do like that the soap is packaging-free because most handmade soaps come wrapped in plastic. I store the soap in a reusable sealable bag when I am not using it, which I recommend doing as well if you do not have a place in the bath to store it. However, the soap did stain the inside of the gift box, so I would personally not regift the box.

Lush Sleepy Shower Gel Review
The shower gel is lavender-scented and contains soothing oat milk, benzoin, tonka, and ylang ylang. The shower gel is vegan and comes in a 100% recycled plastic bottle. You can return the top at your local Lush shop, but you will have to upcycle or recycle the bottle.
As I mentioned above, I regularly use shower gels, and I love this one. The shower gel has a lovely lavender scent, and it is a relaxing experience to use the shower gel in the evenings before bed. Furthermore, the shower gel lathers well and my body feels clean. However, unlike the Honey I Washed The Kids Soap, the shower gel comes in a plastic bottle, which is not the most ideal if you are looking for sustainable bath products. However, Lush does have a Sleepy Soap, which is a good plastic-free alternative to the shower gel.

Lush Ro’s Argan Body Conditioner Review
The last product in the Lush Garden Party gift set is the Ro’s Argan Body Conditioner. The body conditioner is a floral-scented shower moisturizer that contains fair trade shea butter and cocoa butter, almond oil, argan oil, and rose oil. Furthermore, the moisturizer is vegan.
I use the body conditioner at the end of my shower, and it does have a nice scent, but I do not think it is rose or floral-scented. The body conditioner is thicker than a shower gel, and it does leave my skin feeling moisturized. However, I do not like that you rinse off the body conditioner in the shower as I feel like you waste product and do not get as many moisturizing benefits as with a regular body lotion. Furthermore, the body conditioner comes in a plastic container that is part of Lush’s Bring It Back program where you will receive money towards your shopping for bringing it back. However, since there are no Lush shops in Denmark, I will have to upcycle or recycle the container.
225g for £20 (though the size in the Garden Party Gift Set is 45g)
I didn’t realise there wasn’t any Lush stores in Denmark! I haven’t used anything from there in a long time. I don’t have a bath anymore (sobs) so can’t even use their bath bombs!
You would expect there to be a Lush store in Copenhagen at least, but nope! Aww I’m sorry to hear you don’t have a bath anymore! I miss living in the US because I would take baths all the time and use the Lush bath bombs, but in Denmark baths are rare and most homes and apartments only have showers.
What a great gift set! Thanks for sharing your thoughts on it! 🙂

You’re welcome and it is a nice set!
I have to confess I’m not a fan of Lush products, partly due to the overwhelming scents in store and partly due to the sales experience. Perhaps online is the way to go then!
I’m sorry to hear that. Lush does have some nice products, so it can be worthwhile to shop online so you don’t have to deal with the overwhelming scents or staff.
Wow, what a great gift set! I would love to receive something like this. Thanks so much for sharing!
You’re welcome! It is a nice set!
I’ve heard so many great things about this company – particularly their bar shampoo and conditioners. It was great to read your perspective on some other products. Thanks for sharing.
You’re welcome! I haven’t tried their shampoo and conditioner bars, but they do sound nice!
I’ve never tried anything LUSH, but I’ve always been curious. Such a great review–I will definitely be checking some products out soon. Thanks!
I definitely recommend checking out Lush because they do have a large variety of skincare and body care items!
Wow, these products look great – thanks for highlighting the range and rating the products too! The shower gel sounds amazing.
You’re welcome! The shower gel is my favorite item in the set!
The shower gel in this set sounds lovely! I do love a good Lush product, and I really like that they work hard to be as sustainable as possible. Great review, thank you!
Thank you! The shower gel is lovely, and it is my favorite item in the set!
I really love the Sleepy shower gel. I’ve not used it for a while, but It’s so nostalgic I feel like I can smell it!

The Sleepy shower gel is so good, and I love the scent!
I love LUSH. That sucks you don’t have one where you are, but a lovely gift from your friend. Sleepy is so good I have the big body lotion of it and it smells so good. It’s so relaxing. I haven’t tried the others. I hope you enjoy pampering yourself ❤️

I love them too! Copenhagen is a rather large city, so you would expect a store there, but nope. That’s great to hear you like the Sleepy body lotion! Thanks!
I love LUSH! I personally haven’t bout Garden party set but I do love Honey…soap & Ro’s Argan Body Conditioner from the set. But my all time fave product from this brand is hteir Figs & leaves soap. Have you tried it? 😉
Me too! The Honey soap is great, and that’s great to hear you like the body conditioner! I haven’t tried their Figs & Leaves soap, but I should when I can!
I didn’t realize that some companies go packaging free. Does Lush have a refill option for their bottled items?
It is great that there are stores like Lush that have package-free products! As far as I’m aware, Lush doesn’t have a refillable option for their bottle items, and they don’t have any plans to add refill staitons to their stores.
The Garden Party gift set from Lush looks and sounds amazing! I like the look of that Shower Gel x

It is a great set, and I love the shower gel!
I have not used any Lush products before, but whenever I read anything about them, they always sound so lovely. I think I need to treat myself to something like the sleepy shower gel—I’ll have to see if I can find it!
I definitely recommend trying out Lush’s products! The sleepy shower gel is fantastic, and my all-time favorite product from Lush is the Mask of Magnaminty!
I’m now working part time at Lush. The Garden Party set is lovely. I like the box. And all the Christmas gift sets are lovely too.
That’s so exciting you’re working at Lush now! I definitely want to get a Christmas gift set for myself especially the Snow Fairy one!
