How to Start Embracing a Healthier Lifestyle

Updated on October 15th, 2025

AD | There is something admirable about those morning people who can get up at 5 am, go for a jog or do extensive exercises, and then have a green smoothie. They have the mindset to do this and then go about their day regularly. They have embraced a healthier lifestyle to the point where they can get up at an early hour and have the energy to follow their routine. For many people, after getting out of bed, they need to drink coffee and wait several hours before they are fully functioning.

Those who embrace a healthy lifestyle (not specifically waking up early, but in general) seem to have a happier life. They feel great, they look great, and they have a positive attitude. So, how can you embrace a healthier lifestyle? Well, keep reading on to find out!

Eat Right – But Enjoy It

It is hard to embrace a healthier lifestyle if you do not like what you are dealing with. That is why you need to eat right, but of course, you need to enjoy it. Nourishing your body with nutritious foods is one of the most important elements of a healthy lifestyle. Getting the right balance of nutrients is key to boosting your energy, improving your mood, and warding off disease. One way to get the right nutrients is to try the sea moss. The Honduran sea moss is an edible sea plant that promotes your body’s well being by helping you maintain a healthy weight, improve digestive health, support thyroid health, and reduce bad cholesterol. However, good nutrition is more than just choosing the right foods and beverages. It is also about forming positive habits that help you stick to your choices and maintain your health.

Go About It Slowly

If you can, try cutting out small things here and there that go against a healthy lifestyle rather than quitting all the negative habits immediately. For instance, if you are someone who loves junk food, jeat less of it and see how you feel afterward. Also, look into adding more healthy varieties to your intake too such as Semaglutide. Chances are, you are going to feel a lot better. You can pick healthy foods you do like and stick to those while still slowly cutting out what is unhealthy. Soon enough, you are going to notice how different you feel. You are likely going to have more energy, less bloat, and some great physical changes too!

Pick Exercises That You Can Enjoy

If you are new to exercise, start off slow and be patient – your body will need time to adjust to daily physical activity. Build up your workout gradually, increasing distance first and then intensity later. Try to make exercise a habit by scheduling it into your day. For example, set aside a specific time each day to walk or run. You could also turn sit time into fit time by walking up or down the stairs instead of using the elevator or revving up household chores such as vacuuming and sweeping. But are these fun? No, far from it, but small changes can help.

However, in order to really embrace these life changes, it is best to consider doing exercises you will enjoy. If you love swimming, then do that rather than running. If you love lifting weights, then do that, or if you love yoga, then do that! There is not some simple pattern for living healthy; it is about what works for you, and it is about what you can stick to for the long term.

My husband cooks nutritious food and we only eat homecooked food. We do not eat out or get takeout. I’ve lost weight since April just by cutting out sugar, salt and bad fats for my own health and wellbeing. I can’t do chores or exercise by myself because of my disabilities but we are amazed by the changes so far and plan to keep doing the same to see where we get. My husband is doing the same and has also lost weight. I have problems with strength, stamina and movement in general but I already feel more healthy from cutting things out of my diet. And I do not miss them. We use herbs instead of salt.

That’s fantastic that you and your husband only eat home cooked food, and both of you have lost weight! That’s great you do feel better by making changes in your diet.

I’ve always been a reluctant morning person, but I definitely do feel better throughout the day when I get up and go early! Thanks for the tips here.

You’re welcome! I was a night owl, but now I’m a morning person and I do feel better and more productive throughout the day.
