Draw My Makeup Challenge

Updated on October 2nd, 2021

The draw my makeup challenge has been popular recently, and I wanted to try it out for myself. I asked my friend Rei to draw a makeup look, which I then attempted to recreate.

To begin with, Rei drew a purple and yellow reversed eye makeup look. One eye has purple on the lid and yellow in the crease with 4 purple dots below the eye whereas the other eye has yellow on the lid and purple in the crease with 4 yellow dots below the eye.

The eye makeup Rei drew

Based on the colors Rei chose, I thought the OPV Beauty Rainbow Splash palette would be perfect to use. I also added white to the inner corners of my eyes by using the Coloured Raine single shadow. For my face makeup, I kept it rather simple since the eye look was the main focus, and I used the OPV Beauty stick foundation and the Uoma Beauty Stay Woke concealer. I am not the biggest fan of the stick foundation as I prefer a full coverage foundation, but I do love the concealer. I then set the foundation and concealer with the Danessa Myricks setting powder and then topped it off with the Tarte blush. To complete my makeup look, I used the Beauty Bakerie Cake Pop Lippie in Sonrisa Souffle, which is a pretty pink shade, but the lipstick itself is smaller than I expected.

I haven’t actually heard of this challenge but it looks and sounds so much fun! I love the colours she chose. I actually used to have that colour scheme in my bedroom! You did a fab job of recreating it!

It is fun & challenging b/c you have no idea what the other person will draw which pushes you do somethign outside the box!
