Sibby over at Siobhan’s Novelties nominated me for the Do I Have That Book Challenge, and I thought it would be fun to do today!
The challenge was originally created by Keeping Tabs in a YouTube video, which you can out here.
The Rules
- Tag your challenger and the original creator.
- Have fun!
The Books
- Do you have a book with deckled edges? No. I think I had one at one point, but not anymore.
- Do you have a book with 3 or more people on the cover? Best Fairy Tales by Hans Christian Anderson. This is actually the most recent book I bought since I wanted an English version of his fairy tales.
- Do you have a book based on another fictional story? Cinder by Marissa Meyer. This book is loosely based on Cinderella.
- Do you have a book with a title 10 letters long? Dark Places by Gillian Flynn is 10 words.
- Do you have a book with a title that starts and ends with the same letter? Seven Suspects by Renee James. I had to look in my Kindle library to find one, but I did!
- Do you have a Mass Market Paperback book? And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie. I did not know what a mass market paperback was, but I looked it up and this book fits the dimensions of those books.
- Do you have a book written by an author using a pen name? The Cuckoo’s Calling by Robert Galbraith is actually written J. K. Rowling.
- Do you have a book with a character’s name in the title? A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman. This book is about a grumpy old man named Ove.
- Do you have a book with 2 or more maps in it? Hokkaido Highway Blues by Will Ferguson. There are maps of Japan in this book.
- Do you have a book that was turned into a TV show? As far as I know of, I do not, but I recently read 13 Reasons Why by Jay Asher and The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson that I borrowed through Libby. Both have been turned into tv shows with the same name.
- Do you have a book written by someone who is originally famous for something else? (celebrity/athlete/politician/tv personality…) Happy by Fearne Cotton. She is a celebrity.
- Do you have a book with a clock on the cover? I have checked all my books and my Kindle library, but I do not.
- Do you have a poetry book? The Peculiar Life of a Lonely Postman by Denis Thériault. Technically this is not a poetry book, but the characters write haiku which are incorporated into the story.
- Do you have a book with an award stamp on it? All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr. It has a Pulitzer Prize award stamp on it.
- Do you have a book written by an author with the same initials as you? Pretty Girls by Karin Slaughter. I was surprised I actually found a book.
- Do you have a book of short stories? Tales of the Peculiar by Ransom Riggs. It has short stories about the history of the peculiars.
- Do you have a book that is between 500-510 pages long? No. The closest I found was around 475 pages and 525 pages.
- Do you have a book that was turned into a movie? Room by Emma Donoghue. I bought this book during a book sale at a church in Copenhagen, and it was turned into a movie with the same name.
- Do you have a graphic novel? Fables by Bill Willingham. I love the Fables series and The Wolf Among Us video game, which is based on the series.
- Do you have a book written by 2 or more authors? Desserter Sund & slank året rundt by Inge Kauffeldt and Helle Kleist. It is a Danish cookbook with healthy desserts for each season.
I had 15.5/20 of the books for this challenge! I am not going to nominate anyone, but if you are a book lover I would definitely recommend trying this challenge!

This is so fun! But I can’t play because all of my books are backed in boxes because we’re remodeling our house. I MISS MY BOOKS!

Awww maybe you can play when you’re done remodeling or if you have a Kindle you can use your Kindle library!

This is a fun tag! I don’t really own too many physical books anymore – I use the library a lot – so this would be a challenge for me!

It was a fun tag! Aw that’s okay! It’s good to take advantage of the library! I’ve been using the app Libby to listen to audiobooks, so I don’t have that many physical books either.

I have to just say ‘A Man Named Ove’ – I have seen the film, which I absolutely love. A Swedish friend introduced me to it. 😀 I also really enjoy Karin Slaughter too. 🙂

I usually only borrow books and don’t own many so I wouldn’t be able to do this challenge but it was so fun getting a sneak peek of your bookshelf through these questions. 🙂

That’s understandable! I think my book collection is quite small since I didn’t bring many books when I moved, but I managed to answer most of the questions!
