Jenny Marston, blogger over at Jenny in Neverland, kindly gave me a copy of her Beginners Guide to Blogging for free to review. Thank you so much for allowing me to read your guide, and even though I did receive it for free, all opinions in this post are my own.
First off, I loved this guide! Even though the guide is geared towards new bloggers, I found it helpful even as a blogger for over 2 years now. It just goes to show you that there is a lot I can still learn about blogging. The guide covers numerous useful topics including blog content, must-haves, SEO/DA, social media, growing your blog, organization, working with brands, and setting goals. Each topic is then broken down into several sub-topics. I found the guide easy to understand even when it covered more complicated topics like SEO and DA. As I was reading through the guide, I made a list of things to do for my blog like improving my presence on social media. Also, some of the recommendations in the guide I followed right away like adding a follow button and my blog’s email address. These simple things I have not thought about doing in the past 2 years, and the guide explained to me how I can make improvements like these to my blog. The guide also gave me a lot to think about such as goal setting, which is not something I have ever done. The guide is over 70 pages long, and I read through it in a few sittings while taking notes. I do think the guide is worth the £6.99 price because I learned how to improve my blog and some of the topics like social media and working with brands I will come back to and read again. Like I said at the beginning of this post, I loved this guide and I do not have any complaints about it! If you are a blogger, I highly recommend this guide.
Overall, I recommend the Beginners Guide to Blogging to all bloggers including to new bloggers to help you get started with your blog and to old bloggers to help you improve your blog by learning something new.
