Christmas Advent Calendars 2017

Updated on December 8th, 2023

For my next blog post, I wanted to share my thoughts so far on the advent calendars I have for this December.
Lego Star Wars Advent Calendar: I got the Lego Star Wars Advent Calendar back in 2015, and I loved it (especially the R2-D2 with antlers and C-3PO dressed up as Santa), so I wanted to get this year’s as well. The calendar includes 24 days with a different Lego figure each day. So far the figures have mainly been from Star Wars: The Force Awakens like Taslin Brance, a First Order Storm Trooper, a First Order Transporter, Rey’s Speeder, the Millennium Falcon, and Luggabeast. A few figures were from Star Wars Rebels (which I have never seen) like Sabine Wren, The Ghost, and The Phantom. I am looking forward to the Christmas themed figures like BB-8, but I know those will be the last few days. I would definitely recommend this advent calendar if you are a Star Wars fan.

Technic Christmas Calendar: My boyfriend’s mother bought this calendar for me, and it includes 24 days of products from the brand Technic. So far I have mainly received makeup products like their Blusher, Brow Tamer, Contour Stix, Eyeliner, Eyeshadow, Lip Balm, Lip Gloss, Lip Liner, Lipstick, and Mascara. I have received a few makeup tools like a compact mirror, blusher blush, lip brush, and a toe separator. I am looking forward to seeing what the other products are for the rest of the days. I have never tried anything from Technic before, so this is a great way to try out various products from them.

Kinder Mini Mix: My boyfriend’s mother also bought this calendar for me. The calendar is for 24 days, it includes 2 hollow chocolate figures and minis of Kinder Country, Kinder Bueno, and Kinder Chocolate. I like the small size because I do not feel as bad about having one piece every day. I would definitely recommend this calendar or the Kinder Maxi Mix for anyone who likes chocolate especially Kinder chocolate.

Disney Christmas Calendar: This advent calendar is for my daughter, and for 24 days she receives small Disney books. The books are mainly from Disney classics like 101 Dalmatians, Aladdin, The Aristocats, Bambi, Dumbo, Mulan, Robin Hood, and Snow White. The calendar also includes a few books from newer films like Ratatouille and Planes. My daughter loves unwrapping each book and looking at the pictures especially when there are animals. The books are great for my boyfriend to read to her now and for when she gets older.

Did you get any advent calendars this year?

My autistic granddaughter was asked if she wanted a chocolate or makeup Advent calendar. She chose makeup, and then asked her big sister every day if she could have her chocolate. My daughter bought her a second one.

It’s good to know Rebels is worth watching b/c I just thought it was for kids so it wouldn’t be that interesting
      You’re welcome! 😊
