Buxom Full-On Lip Cream Review

Updated on April 28th, 2023

I bought the Buxom Full-On Plumping Lip Cream in the shade Dolly when Ulta had them on sale for $10.

The Buxom Full-On Plumping Lip Cream

First off, the Buxom Full-On Plumping Lip Cream is similar to the Buxom Full-On Plumping Lip Polish because both are lip-plumping glosses, but the Lip Creams do not have a shimmer finish like the Lip Polish. The shade Dolly is a sheer mauve color with a gloss finish. This lip cream applies smoothly and evenly with the applicator, and I only need to use one layer. After applying the lip cream, my lips feel tingly from the lip-plumping ingredients, but I do not notice any plumping effect.

However, the lip cream is not sticky despite being a gloss. The lip cream also feels moisturizing on my lips. Since the lip cream is a gloss, it only lasts a few hours before I have to reapply it, and it is also not transfer-proof. These lip creams are regularly $25 each, which I think is quite expensive for a lip gloss. Since these lip creams are so expensive, I expected a lot more from this high-end gloss.

At Ulta, there are 20 shades available of these lip creams varying from nudes, pinks, and purples, but I do not think I will purchase another lip cream. There are also 36 shades of the Buxom Full-on Plumping Lip Polish in a similar range of shades. If you are interested in these lip creams, I would recommend purchasing them on sale. Otherwise, I would recommend purchasing a more affordable gloss like the NYX Butter Gloss because NYX has similar results minus the lip-plumping ingredients.

Overall, the Buxom Full-On Lip Cream has a pretty color, but only average results for a high-end gloss.

I’m glad I read this, I’ve been looking to get a lip plumper, and it sure won’t be this one!

The packaging is so pretty and it’s so sad that it didn’t work out well for you.

The colour is pretty but I don’t think any gloss type of product would ever be worth $20!

I agree with you & that’s why I paid only $10 for it. No gloss should be more than that unless it’s some super-pigmented, long-lasting, and transfer-proof gloss.
