Kylie Cosmetics Matte Liquid Lipstick Review

When I bought the Kylie Cosmetics Gloss, I also bought the Kylie Cosmetics Matte Liquid Lipstick in Candy K, and I wanted to share a review of what I thought of the lipstick.

The Kylie Cosmetics Liquid Lipstick in Candy K is a pink nude shade, and it has good pigment. You can purchase the lip kit with the lip liner in the same shade, but I bought the lipstick separately because I do not use lip liners.

I love the packaging of the liquid lipstick including the wand with the doe foot applicator. The wand is much better than the brush used for the Kylie Cosmetics Gloss because I am able to evenly apply the lipstick with the doe foot applicator. The lipstick applies liquid and dries completely matte within a few minutes. The lipstick is long-lasting, but it is not transfer-proof. When eating or drinking, the lipstick fades especially on the inner lip. Another con of the lipstick is that it is very drying even when compared to liquid lipsticks from other brands. I definitely recommend using a lip scrub and a moisturizer or lip balm before applying the lipstick.

There are 38 other shades of the Matte Liquid Lipsticks available (excluding any limited edition shades) in nude, pink, coral, red, plum, and brown shades, but I will not purchase another one of these lipsticks. For a more affordable option, I would recommend the NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams. The NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams are long-lasting and non-drying, and there are 34 shades available plus they only cost $6.50 compared to $19 for Kylie’s.

Overall, the Kylie Cosmetics Matte Liquid Lipstick is a decent liquid lipstick, but it is very drying, and it is not transfer-proof. Furthermore, the price is a bit high.
