AD – PR Product | I wash my hair 2-3 times a week, however, even after using conditioners that are meant to reduce frizz and add shine, my hair still gets frizzy that day. I was kindly gifted the Vegamour HYDR-8 Complete Repair Kit to review, which is perfect for dry, frizzy hair. After using the products for a month, I am excited to share my thoughts on the collection.
What is Vegamour?
Vegamour is a 100% vegan and cruelty-free hair wellness brand. They use plant-based ingredients in all their products that promote healthy, beautiful hair without any parabens, silicones, phthalates, harmful sulfates, or artificial fragrances. They have several collections, including their new HYDR-8 Collection for hair hydration and repair, along with their GRO Collection to target thinning and shedding and the GRO+ Collection to target scalp irritation and advanced thinning and shedding.
Vegamour is based in the US, and they do ship internationally. You can receive free shipping in the US on orders over $50. For international orders, free shipping is available on orders over $125. Furthermore, duties and taxes are charged at checkout, therefore, you will not have any unexpected fees upon delivery.
You can purchase Vegamour products on their website Vegamour as well as on Sephora and Amazon.
Vegamour HYDR-8 Complete Repair Kit
I was gifted the HYDR-8 Complete Repair Kit which is perfect for dry, dull hair. The HYDR-8 Complete Repair Kit includes the HYDR-8 Hydrate and Repair Shampoo and Conditioner, the HYDR-8 Deep Moisture Mask, and the HYDR-8 Leave-In Conditioner. The kit is $145, and you save 10% by buying the kit instead of purchasing the products individually.

Vegamour HYDR-8 Hydrate and Repair Shampoo
The HYDR-8 shampoo is a hydrating shampoo that helps dry, damaged hair. The shampoo is $38 for 8 oz / 236 ml and gently cleans dirt and seals in hydration. Furthermore, the shampoo includes Karmatin which is a vegan keratin alternative to strengthen your hair.
The shampoo is easy to use, and it has a twist cap that allows you to precisely squeeze out the right amount. It is recommended to use a quarter-size amount of shampoo and apply it to wet hair. Even for a small amount, I found the shampoo lathered well. I left the shampoo on for 1 minute before rinsing and following with either the HYDR-8 conditioner or mask.
After using the shampoo, my hair does feel clean. As far as the scent of the shampoo, I am not entirely sure how to describe the scent, but it is on the floral side. I did like the scent, but it may not appeal to everyone.
Vegamour HYDR-8 Hydrate and Repair Conditioner
The HYDR-8 Conditioner is also for dry, parched hair, and contains Karmatin. The conditioner is $38 for 8 oz / 236 ml.
After shampooing, I applied a quarter-size amount onto wet hair and left the conditioner to sit for 2 minutes before rinsing it out. The conditioner has the same packaging with the twist cap as the shampoo, which makes it easy to use. However, the conditioner is thicker, so squeezing out can be a bit harder. The conditioner also has the same scent as the shampoo.
After rinsing out the conditioner and drying my hair, my hair did feel so soft and hydrated. My hair also did not feel weighed down or greasy.
Vegamour HYDR-8 Deep Moisture Repair Mask
The HYDR-8 Mask is a weekly treatment that you can use after shampooing your hair, and you can skip using the conditioner when using the mask. The mask is $52 for 5 oz / 147 ml and it nourishes hair, reduces frizz, and contains Karmatin to strengthen the hair.
After shampooing, I apply the mask to damp hair and left it on for 3-5 minutes. You can leave it on for up to 10 minutes before rinsing it out. The mask comes in a tub with a screw-on lid and has a floral scent similar to the shampoo and conditioner.
The hair mask is great and has similar results to using the HYDR-8 conditioner. My hair feels hydrated and soft, and the mask also reduces frizz.

Vegamour HYDR-8 Leave-In Conditioner
The HYDR-8 Leave-In Conditioner is a lightweight spray that provides hydration and heat protection up to 450° F / 232° C. The leave-in conditioner is $34 for 5 oz / 147 ml, and it also detangles hair, reduces frizz, and contains Karmatin to strengthen hair.
To use the leave-in conditioner, you shake the bottle well and spray a generous amount onto damp hair, and then comb or brush your hair. You do not wash it out as it is a leave-in conditioner. You can also use the leave-in conditioner on dry hair, but it is recommended to use less product.
I do not use any heat styling products on my hair, so I cannot comment on how well the leave-in conditioner is for heat protection, but it is a fantastic last step after using the shampoo and conditioner or mask. The leave-in conditioner does add more hydration and reduces frizziness. Also, since my hair is long, it can get tangled, and the spray does help detangle my hair.

Is the HYDR-8 Collection worth it?
I would say the collection is worth it! My hair feels so much softer and more hydrated after using these products for a month. I also have much less frizz than before and my hair is not frizzy that day or even the next after washing my hair. As far as the price, it is a little on the higher end, but after using all the products for a month, I still have plenty of shampoo and conditioner left. It also looks like I barely touched the mask because I only use it once a week.
UPDATE: I have been using the HYDR-8 Collection for 6 months, and I am just now running out of the shampoo and conditioner. I first ran out of the leave-in conditioner because I started using it 2-3 days after washing my hair to touch it up. I then ran out of the repair mask after weekly use. It is a good price for the shampoo and conditioner to last 6 months and the leave-in conditioner and repair mask to last 3-4 months.
If you are curious about Vegamour, you can take the Vegamour Hair Quiz to see if the HYDR-8 Collection is right for you. When I took the quiz, I did get the HYDR-8 Essentials Kit, which is this collection without the leave-in conditioner, but I do love using the leave-in conditioner.
Your review reads like a thrilling quest to discover the ultimate elixir of hydration. I could practically hear the trumpets playing as you unveiled the secrets of Vegamour HYDR-8. It’s like you’re the modern-day Indiana Jones, but instead of searching for ancient artifacts, you’re on a mission to uncover the perfect blend of hydration and beauty.

Thank you so much! Their quiz is great if you’re unsure which of their products would be right for your hair
I’m absolutely love these products, I was SO impressed when I tried them out! I don’t personally use the leave in conditioner for heat defence but it is lovely for a refresh when your hair isn’t super clean.
I love these products too and I’m glad you got to try them out as well! I don’t use the leave in conditioner for heat defense either, but I do agree it is nice to use it to refresh your hair
This is the first time I’ve heard of this line of products and they sound great. I’m always interested in discovering new hair care products, even more so since going blonde (I’m on damage control at the moment 😅).
These products are fantastic! I would recommend this HYDR-8 collection because the products are suited for dry and damaged hair.
Thank you for sharing the detailed review. I was not aware of this product.
You’re welcome! This collection is fantastic, and I’m glad I could make you aware of the brand.
This looks like a great collection of hair care products, I’d love to try them! I especially like the fact the ingredients are plant-based and that there are no harmful synthetic ingredients such as parabens, silicones, phthalates, sulfates, or artificial fragrances. Thanks for sharing your experience with them.
You’re welcome! This collection is fantastic, and I love that all their products contain only plant-based ingredients!
This seems like a brand I could really get behind as I try my best to buy vegan and cruelty-free products in general. I must admit that I have struggled to find that for hair products so this is great — love the packaging too!
I definitely recommend trying out their products because they are all vegan as well as cruelty-free! I love the packaging too!
I haven’t heard of this brand before but I like the sound of Vegamour! I like that it’s helped your hair so much x

I haven’t heard of the brand either before I was sent their products to try. I am grateful for the opportunity because they have really helped my hair!
This range looks so luxurious! I also suffer with the dreaded frizz and always looking for ways to tame it.
Will have to check out this brand and what their shipping charges may be as I live in the UK.

It is! I definitely recommend these products to control frizz, and on their website, they state there is a $10-$40 shipping charge depending on your country.
