However, Influencer Blogging 101 course created by blog designer Gillian Sarah takes that burden off your shoulders and guides you step by step on how to grow and monetize your blog. I received Influencer Blogging 101 to review from Gillian, and after working through the course, I wanted to share my thoughts on it here.

What is Influencer Blogging 101 Course?
Influencer Blogging 101 is an online blogging course with 70 lessons all about growing and monetizing your blog. The course mostly includes video lessons as well as workbooks, templates, and other resources. The video lessons range in length from 3-31 minutes, and there is no deadline for the course and you can go back and watch the lessons again and again. The course is great for beginner bloggers wanting to start and grow a blog or for more experienced bloggers that are ready to take their blog to the next level and are wanting to monetize their blog.
What is included in Influencer Blogging 101?
Influencer Blogging 101 course is divided into nine main categories including Foundations, Getting Started, Branding Your Blog, Cornerstone Content, Getting Traffic, Monetise Your Blog, Email Lists, The Perfect Post, and Quick Wins intended to help you start a blog from scratch or to grow and monetize your current blog. Here is a brief description of the main categories:
- Foundations – The Foundations category covers the basics of what you need for your blog including a niche, content, and goals.
- Getting Started – The Getting Started category includes a guide on starting a new blog from self-hosting, registering a domain name, creating an email address, and customizing your blog.
- Branding Your Blog – The Branding Your Blog category contains information on how to choose your niche, blog name, and colors.
- Cornerstone Content – Cornerstone Content covers what cornerstone content is along with advice on using stock photos.
- Getting Traffic – The Getting Traffic category includes how to grow your blog’s traffic by using keyword research and SEO as well as Pinterest and backlinks.
- Monetise Your Blog – Monetise Your Blog is the largest category of the course that is broken down into five subcategories of Advertisements, Affiliate Marketing, Digital Products, Collaborations, and Media Kits. Advertisements include the various types of ads you can have on your blog while affiliate marketing covers affiliate networks to join and how to add affiliate links. Digital Products covers what is a digital product and how to sell them while Collaborations include information on sponsored posts along with gifted collaborations and influencer marketing networks to join. The last Media Kits subcategory contains what to include in a media kit and media kit templates.
- Email Lists – The Email Lists category is all about making an email newsletter and adding the opt-in to your blog.
- The Perfect Post – The Perfect Post is a single 31-minute video on how to structure your blog post for your readers and Google
- Quick Wins – Quick Wins is the last category of the course that includes quick actions you can do to increase traffic and revenue.
Would I Recommend Influencer Blogging 101?
I have gone through all the lessons of Influencer Blogging 101, and I would definitely recommend the course for new bloggers as the Foundations, Getting Started, and Branding Your Blog categories are more geared toward those wanting to start a blog. However, these first categories of the course would also be beneficial for bloggers wanting to switch to WordPress from other platforms or to rebrand their blog. The rest of the course would be beneficial for both new bloggers and more experienced bloggers that are wanting to monetize their blog as the course goes in-depth on how to monetize and grow your blog.
With that said, I would not recommend the course for full-time bloggers as they most likely know the various ways to grow and monetize a blog and there is probably not much they would learn from the course. Also, if you are only a hobby blogger and you have no intentions of monetizing your blog now or anytime in the future, I would not recommend the course.
I have been blogging for over 6 years now, and even though I would consider myself an experienced blogger, I did actually learn more about the various types of ads I can have on my blog and the ad networks that are recommended based on my blog’s monthly views. I also learned more about affiliate marketing as I have recently been adding affiliate links to my posts, and I learned about what cornerstone content actually is. When it comes to blogging, there is always more I can learn, and I am thankful for having access to Influencer Blogging 101 course. Also, I do want to mention that Gillian has a lovely voice to listen to, and she is easy to understand. She does not ramble in the video lessons, which makes them easy to watch and pay attention to.
What Does the Course Cost?
The launch price for Influencer Blogging 101 is $747, which includes lifetime access to the course and any future course updates. A payment plan is available, and you can make 3 payments of $279. The price also includes exclusive website templates, a members-only Facebook group, and access to Creating a Printable’s Business From Scratch, which is all about creating a passive income printables business.
I haven’t heard of this course or the course designer. But it sounds like a fantasy six course and resource to learn tips and tricks to grow you blog. Thank you for sharing Kara!

I’ve generally tried to stay away from blogging courses solely because they are very expensive (I know everyone has to make their money some way, but unfortunately I am in no financial position to take a blog course now), and by previewing some blog courses, I can tell almost everyone offers the same advice I’ve heard hundreds of times on my multiple Google Searches on how to create a blog or how to monetize a blog. This course does seem interesting as you are the second person to endorse it. I will definitely look into it once I get more of a stable income x
I completely understand that this course is a big finanicial investement and not everyone is in a position where they can afford it. I would recommend sticking to the advice you have found on Google for now and seeing how it works for you.

New blogger’s can certainly benefit from doing some research before they dive into blogging, because it’s not a easy or quicky way to make money, depending on you niche. But $747 is a significant amount to spend before you get started
I agree some niches are more challenging to monetize than others, and there is a lot new bloggers can learn before jumping into blogging. It is a lot to spend on a course.
That’s neat that even after six years of blogging, you still gained some insights you didn’t know from taking this course. There is always something to learn on this blogging journey, and it’s a constantly changing thing. One thing I love about it is the fact that I can take a totally different path than you and still become successful with it. It’s a business that allows us to uniquely create it to our own personalities and desires.

I read a glowing review of this course on another blog so it definitely seems like a really informative set of lessons. As I’ve been blogging for 6 years too (snap!) it probably isn’t something I would undertake now though, as my blog is more of a side hustle to my main freelance writing career.
