It can be difficult to figure out your pricing, especially when everywhere you read says it depends, which I do not find helpful at all because I have no idea what starting point to have. With this post, I will share what other bloggers charge based on their domain authority (DA), page views, and social media followers to provide a starting point to help other bloggers figure out their pricing.
How Much Do Bloggers Charge for Sponsored Posts?
There was one post I found that actually included prices for sponsored posts, which is The Bloglancer’s How Much Do Bloggers Charge For Sponsored Posts?, but the post was published in 2018. The post also did not distinguish between sponsored posts that bloggers write and pre-written sponsored posts, and there was no mention of prices for link insertions, which I know some bloggers accept. For this section, I will first include the prices bloggers charge based on DA, followed by page views. Also, all prices listed in this post are in USD, and the prices are based on the responses I received for the anonymous Google Form I created.
Here are the prices bloggers charge for sponsored posts written by the blogger based on DA:
- 1-10: The price ranges from $60-200 with the average being $105.
- 11-20: The price ranges from $34-392 with the average being $150.
- 21-30: The price ranges from $54-545 with the average being $249.
- 31-40: The price ranges from $204-545 with the average being $340.
- 41-50: The price ranges from $340-477 with the average being $409.
- 51-60: The price ranges from $100-300 with the average being $232.
- 61-70: There was one blogger who charged $150.
Here are the prices bloggers charge for pre-written sponsored posts based on DA:
- 1-10: There was one blogger who charged $30.
- 11-20: The price ranges from $20-136 with the average being $67.
- 21-30: The price ranges from $50-408 with the average being $142.
- 31-40: The price ranges from $102-340 with the average being $192.
- 41-50: The price ranges from $136-204 with the average being $170.
- 51-60: The price ranges from $100-245 with the average being $165.
- 61-70: There was one blogger who charged $85.
Here are the prices bloggers charge for link insertions based on DA:
- 1-10: There were no bloggers at this DA that accepted link insertions.
- 11-20: The price ranges from $14-102 with the average being $37.
- 21-30: The price ranges from $7-136 with the average being $61.
- 31-40: The price ranges from $89-204 with the average being $130.
- 41-50: The price ranges from $68-136 with the average being $102.
- 51-60: The price ranges from $50-150 with the average being $103.

How Much Do Bloggers Charge for Social Media Posts?
In The Bloglancer’s post, the only social media platform included was Instagram, but there was no distinction between grid posts and stories. I also thought it would be helpful to include Twitter and Facebook, as bloggers can be paid to write tweets or Facebook posts as well. This section will focus on what bloggers charge based on their follower count. I also want to mention that some bloggers include social media posts as part of the price they charge for sponsored posts, so not all bloggers charge a separate fee for social media.
Here are the prices bloggers charge for an Instagram grid post based on followers:
- Under 1,000: There was one blogger who charged $50.
- 1,000-1,999: The price ranges from $20-100 with the average being $58.

- 10,000+: The price ranges from $136-885 with the average being $379.
Here are the prices bloggers charge for an Instagram story based on followers:
- Under 1,000: There was one blogger who charged $50.
- 1,000-1,999: The price ranges from $7-41 with the average being $24.
- 2,000-2,999: The price ranges from $50-68 wth the average being $57.

- 6,000-6,999: There was one blogger who charged $34.
- 10,000+: The price ranges from $50-430 with the average being $188.
Here are the prices bloggers charge for a tweet on Twitter based on followers:
- Under 1,000: There was one blogger who charged $27.
- 1,000-1,999: The price ranges from $5-136 with the average being $57.
- 3,000-3,999: There was one blogger who charged $20.
- 4,000-4,999: There was one blogger who charged $25.
- 5,000-5,999: The price ranges from $10-78 with the average being $44.
- 6,000-6,999: There was one blogger who charged $41.
- 7,000-7,999: The price ranges from $41-204 with the average being $104.
- 10,000+: The price ranges from $20-272 with the average being $141.
Here are the prices bloggers charge for a Facebook post based on followers:
- Under 1,000: The price ranges from $5-136 with the average being $50.
- 1,000-4,999: There was one blogger that charged $68.

How Much Do Bloggers Charge for Advertising Packages?
Some bloggers offer advertising packages where they will write a ‘Meet the Advertisers’ post at the beginning of the month, include the logo for their advertisers on their sidebar, and then promote their advertisers on social media. The price is often related to DA and page views, but not every blogger who offers an advertising package includes their page views. Also, many bloggers offer multiple advertising packages, so the low-end range is usually for the mini package, whereas the high-end range is for the premium package.
Here are the prices bloggers charge for advertising packages based on DA:
- DA 1-10: The price of the packages ranges from $2-15. The average is $6.
- DA 11-20: The price of the packages ranges from $3-22.50. The average is $8.
- DA 21-30: The price of the packages ranges from $3-29. The average is $10.50.
- DA 31-40: The price of the packages ranges from $7-26. The average is $16.
- DA 40+: The price of the packages ranges from $15-26. The average is $20.
Most bloggers who offer advertising packages are in the DA 11-20 range, followed by DA 21-30. There are only a few bloggers who offer advertising with a DA 1-10 and DA 31-40, and even fewer with a DA 40+.
Since bloggers with lower DAs can have higher page views, I wanted to see what bloggers charge for advertising packages based on page views. However, take this section with a grain of salt because these numbers were taken from the bloggers’ advertising packages pages. Some pages may not have been updated in a while, and you cannot completely verify page views. Furthermore, as I mentioned earlier, not all bloggers who offer advertising packages include their page views. Therefore, there are fewer bloggers included in this section.
Here are the prices bloggers charge for advertising packages based on page views:
- 1,000-1,999: The price of the packages ranges from $3-15 with the average being $8.
- 2,000-2,999: The price of the packages ranges from $3-13 with the average being $7.
- 3,000-3,999: The price of the packages ranges from $3.50-5.50 with the average being $4.50.
- 4,000-4,999: There was one package for $13.
- 5,000-5,999: The price of the packages ranges from $5-9 with the average being $7.
- 6,000-6,999: The price of the packages ranges from $2-9 with the average being $6.
- 7,000-7,999: The price of the packages ranges from $5-16 with the average being $6.
- 9,000-9.999: The price of the packages ranges from $8-24 with the average being $14.
- 10,000-19,999: The price of the packages ranges from $5-26 with the average being $15.
- 20,000+: The price of the packages ranges from $7-29 with the average being $15.50.
Unlike with the DA, where the average increased when the DA increased, the price for page views is all over the place. It does seem that DA is a better determiner when setting a price for the advertising packages, but if you do have a lot of page views, then you could possibly charge a little more.
Final Thoughts
As I mentioned at the start of the post, the purpose of this post is to help provide bloggers with a starting point for their prices. I am not telling you that you have to charge these prices, and there are other factors outside of DA, page views, and followers that may affect your pricing. However, if you are charging on the lower end and below the average, you may want to consider raising your prices. Also, if a brand refuses to accept your prices and offers an absurdly low price instead, do not accept it because it is just letting brands know that they can get away with undercharging bloggers. You deserve to be paid fairly for the time it takes to write, edit, and publish your post and to create social media content.
Real useful even though my experience is different to what is listed here. I started by asking at least $250 for a company mentioned in already ranking articles, and $500 for a sponsored post for blogging only. I don’t have a social media following.
That is great you have been able to charge that much!
In my experience, there will be companies that are perfectly fine with accepting a higher price, but of course, you will always companies who want to negotiate
This is such a useful post! I’ve always struggled knowing what to charge. Especially, for pre-written sponsored posts or link insertions.

I’m glad you found this post useful!
This is such a useful post! Today I had my first meeting with a company and I kept this handy. We didn’t yet get to pricing, he’s going to send me samples first but I feel more confident now. I really also like your post on blogging resources. Thank you! I’ve been blogging for over ten years but didn’t monetize or really focus on new SEO rules until now. Kudos to those with high domain authority!
I’m glad to hear you found this post useful! That’s exciting you had your first meeting with a company, and I hope you have a better idea of what you can charge.
That’s awesome you’ve been blogging for 10 years! I’ve been blogging for almost 8 years, and I started monetizing my blog 5 years ago. Also, when I first started blogging, I didn’t know anything about SEO, so I’ve had to go back and update my older posts.
Thank you for this post. I had no idea where to start when we were ready to sell ads. I’m bookmarking this page!
You’re welcome! I’m glad to hear that!
Thank you so much for sharing this. I’ve been looking for a guide with a breakdown like this in soooo long and not found anything as simple and informative. Every bloggers rates really vary so it’s good to have this info to make more of an informed decision!
You’re welcome! It can be difficult to figure out pricing because it varies by blogger. However, I hoped this post could provide a starting point!
Thanks so much for all the research that went into this! It’s clearly helpful to so many content creators, myself included. Would love to see this updated from time to time–it would be fascinating to see how things change.
You’re welcome! It would be interesting to see how things over time!
You’ve definitely put a lot of work into this post, but your numbers look really low to me. My blog’s DA is 39, however, our unique monthly visitors are over 120K (this number is growing month over month). Our *starting* rate to write a blog post for a brand and publish it on our site is $2,000 USD and we will be raising that rate as our traffic continues to grow. 🙂
The numbers are based on what other bloggers answered in the Google Form, but there were not many bloggers who had a higher DA nor as many monthly visitors as you, so it is great to hear what you charge for a sponsored post!
Wow, this post is so insightful. It’s so hard to understand partnership pricing opportunities. I love that this post breaks it down by views and DA – so helpful!!
We appreciate the post and will make sure to visit it for the future!
You’re welcome and I’m glad to hear you found it helpful!
We love this so much! Thanks for sharing. We’ve never done a sponsored post before, but now we can easily see how much we could charge based on our DA.
You’re welcome!
I need to bookmark this post. This is a good guide. I need to revise my price. Thank you for sharing.
You’re welcome! It is good to see what other bloggers are charging because there are so many that aren’t open to sharing
This is helpful. I think your price range is very reasonable, unlike other bloggers charged hundreds for a low traffic blog.
Thanks, but even if a blog has low traffic, it does take time to write a post and promote it, so charging $10 or even $50 is undervaluing their time.
What an insightful post! Thank you for pulling all of this data together and sharing it in one place! I will be revisiting this post again! Xx
You’re welcome!
This is so helpful! Thank you for sharing. I am saving it on Pinterest for later 🙂
You’re welcome! I’m glad it was helpful & thank you for sharing!
This was super helpful, thanks for sharing
You’re welcome!
I have to be really honest, as a new blogger and someone who never understand any of this… it makes me feel at more of a loss than I was before. I really want to make it as a blogger, and making money doing so but… I don’t think this will work out in that way for me..maybe more as a hobby.
I was a hobby blogger for 3 years before I had a brand pay me to write a post & even after that, it wasn’t until I’ve had my blog for 5 years before I started regularly having sponsored posts.
It is okay to start out as a hobby blogger and build up your audience and views because blogs are not a quick way to money. You can make money quicker than I did, but it does take a lot of work.
If you do want to make money as a blogger, just keep at it. I see that you have an Intellifluence badge on your blog. Have you also checked out Get Blogged? I also see that you have ads on your blog & you offer advertising packages, so I would recommend to keep promoting your blog on social media & working on increasing your views.
I am in LOVE with this post as I struggle with this question so much when it comes up! Getting a look at the findings of your research is so helpful. 🙂
I’m glad to hear that! It is difficult figuring out your pricing, but it doesn’t have to be!
Wow, I really need to organise getting myself out there! This is such useful information, I’ve just been too nervous to go for it, but after reading everyone’s experience and thoughts and this post I may just push it this year! Thank you!
You should definitely go for it if that’s what you want to do! If you are wanting to work with brands, I have this post that includes some networks & Facebook groups you can join & other websites to look on

This is so helpful!! It’s always hard to come up with pricing but this really helps break it down. Thank you for sharing!
You’re welcome! I agree it’s hard to figure out your pricing, but I’m glad to hear that this post was helpful!
This is so helpful! I am always so confused whether I’m ‘worth it’ enough to charge! This post has really been enlightening and has shown me that I need to give myself credit more. I’ve also been thinking about introducing advertising packages for bloggers but worried no one will want to advertise with me, haha! But I guess I won’t know until I give it a go! Thank you so much for sharing!
You’re welcome & I’m glad to hear that! You are worth it to charge & I definitely think there are brands that will want to work with you on sponsored content.
You should try & offer advertising packages! When I started offering advertising packages, I was worried that no one would want to advertise on my blog, but I was proven wrong!
This is such an interesting post! It’s actually nice to see things written down in black and white in terms of pricing as being a blogger and being self employed in general can be quite hush hush when it comes to money. Thank you for sharing!

You’re welcome!
I agree! There are not many bloggers who are open to sharing how much they charge for posts, so when you go to figure out your pricing, you could end up undercharging yourself.
This is such a great guide for those who are uncertain of how much they can or should be charging for services. Creators should be fairly compensated for their hard work and time! Thank you for sharing!
I definitely agree! Not many bloggers are open to sharing how much they charge for sponsored posts so it hard to figure out what you can & should be charging.
I love that you broke it down both based on DA as well as based on pageviews. Too often bloggers get stuck focusing on a single metric, allowing it to be the be-all and end-all of how they make decisions for their website. But, it’s honestly not all that cut and dry. There are blogs that have a really high DA and low page views that may be able to provide valuable backlinks but aren’t going to be as helpful in getting content in front of an audience. On the other hand, there are bloggers with a lower DA but a higher page view count that are more likely to put their sponsored content in front of real people but won’t help as much in your SEO efforts. The key is to consider the greater picture and find brands that will benefit from your strengths specifically.
Yes exactly! I have a high DA, but I know there are plenty of blogs out there that have higher page views than me, so my blog is great for link insertions & brands wanting to grow their link profile.
There are also other factors outside of DA & page views such as your audience demographics, engagement rate, blog followers, email subscribers, etc. so there is more than 1 factor to consider when you are wanting to work with brands.
This was so so helpful! I think a lot of bloggers undercharge for fear of not doing enough when behind the scenes it takes so much work! I didn’t know you could get paid so much for it. a tweet, thanks for sharing x
You’re welcome! After working on this post, I realized I’ve been undercharging myself a little bit because I didn’t what was possible to charge for a post or even a tweet. I was surprised by how much bloggers have been paid for a tweet too!
There’s a lot of research that’s gone into this, Karalee, wow. I’m shocked that some bloggers charge so little – I mean no shade if you have bills to pay but $7 or $10 devalues us all. The thing to remember when you accept a sponsored post, guest post, or link insertion is that you are providing a backlink for as long as your blog is around. I charge the same for guest posts as I do link insertions because it’s all advertising; I used to accept $40 for a link insertion a few years ago and guess what, those links are still on my blog now – so the ROI for them is amazing, although not for me! Nowadays I charge far more 🙂
I agree! That’s why I mentioned at the end that if someone charges on the lower end or below the average, they should consider raising their prices because if they accept $10, then brands will think it’s perfectly okay to only offer $10 because they already know somone accepted it.
That’s a good point for link insertions! I charge a bit lower for link insertions, but since it is a form of adverising & it will be on my blog for as long as my blog is around, I should charge more!
Thank you so much for this. I received my first sponsored post request today and wasn’t sure how much to charge. Thanks to this post, I know what to do..
Congratulations on receiving your first sponsored post request! It can be difficult figuring out how much to charge, and I’m glad this post could provide you with some guidance!
I had no idea what bloggers were charging so this is very enlightening! Thanks for sharing.
You’re welcome! I didn’t know what other bloggers were charging either because not many bloggers are open to sharing what they charge.
This was super helpful! I had been wondering if my DA and page views/follower counts were enough to be charging for things and this really shed some light on that. Plus, it gives a really good guideline for how to price things, which I have always found a confusing thing to figure out! Thanks for sharing all this.
I’m glad to hear that it was helpful! Your DA, page views & follower counts are enough to charge!
I agree it can be confusing figuring out your pricing.
What a great post! It’s so important to know your worth so you don’t short change yourself. You’re right, if you just accept a low offer, then you are devaluing yourself and that will trickle down to what brands will offer other bloggers as well. So much goes into creating content and building up engagement with our audience and that has value. Thank you for putting this together. It will be a huge help for me when I get to the point when I am ready to add these services to my blog.
~ Cassie
You’re welcome! Yes definitely! You should stand your ground when a brand offers you a low rate & if they don’t accept your rate, move on because there will be plenty of other brands that want to work with you & they’ll gladly accept your rate.
Thank you so much for this. It could not have come at a better time for me. Definitely bookmarking.
You’re welcome!
This is so interesting! My new site doesn’t have enough DA to charge a decent amount, so I’m not bothering with sponsored posts atm. I used to struggle with pricing so much on my old site, though, so this kind of overview is so helpful! x
mia
When your new site does have a higher DA, I hope this post will be help you figure out your pricing! Before I did this post, I was struggling with my pricing too because I had no idea what other bloggers were charging & how much I should charge for my time
This was very very helpful! Recently, I’ve had brands coming up to me for collaboration projects, so I needed to level up my game! Thank you so much for sharing xx Penny | whatdidshetype.com
You’re welcome & I’m glad to hear you found it helpful! I hope you’ll do some brand collabs soon!
Very useful information, will save it for reference! Thanks for sharing!
You’re welcome! I’m glad to hear you found it useful!
This is such a helpful blog post for any blogger who is unsure of what to charge for different aspects in blogging x
Lucy | http://www.lucymary.co.uk
For sure! Since many bloggers are not open to sharing how much they charge, it can lead to a lot of uncertainity when figuring out your own pricing & you could up undercharging yourself
I’m definitely pinning this. Thank you so much, I needed this!
You’re welcome & thank you for pinning it!
Thank you so much for sharing this. This is so helpful since we’re new to blogging!
You’re welcome! I’m glad to hear it is helpful!
Great list and super comprehensive. I found it very helpful thank you for researching this and sharing!
Thanks! That’s great to hear you found it helpful!
This post is worth book marking and re-sharing. Very, very useful information.
That’s wonderful to hear you found this post useful!
Thanks for this! It’s nice to see some numbers for comparison. I really felt insecure creating a pricing package so early since I did not know what prices others were starting at.
You’re welcome! When I started doing sponsored posts, I was unsure about pricing as well since I had no idea what other bloggers charged & not many bloggers are open to talking about what they charge
This is such a helpful post, thank you so much for sharing lovely! I’d have no idea about what to charge etc for my posts so this post is much appreciated. Xo
Elle – ellegracedeveson.com
I’m glad to hear you found the post helpful & I hope you figure out what you can charge for posts!
THANK YOU! It’s so hard to find this info out there and I found it so hard to make decisions about this. This post is magic!
You’re welcome! I agree it is so hard to find any info because people don’t want to talk about it or they’ll share vague information.
Super interesting! I feel like sometimes, bloggers don’t charge enough. We spend soo much time and put so much effort into our content creation and then some brands want to pay like 50 dollars? No WAY!
Lots of love,
Krissi of the marquise diamond
I feel the same! I know when I first started doing sponsored posts I pretty much accepted whatever amount was offred but now I know that my time & effort is worth more than $50!
This was really valuable, thank you for sharing this. I have a moderate DA as couple of years ago I changed my site name/domain but a solid number of page views each month; this has helped me figure out what I could charge if I decided to monetize, etc.
You’re welcome! I’m glad to hear the post has helped you figure out what you can charge!
This was a great topic and post. I’m quite surprised at the very wide range on sponsored posts though. Till 550 dollar almost is a surprise. I didn’t know Twitter charge would be this high for one tweet. I’ll be referring this post for sure to set my charges now. Thanks for collecting insights. Xx
Isa A. Blogger
You’re welcome! I also didn’t know bloggers were charging up to $550 for a sponsored post, so it’s helpful for me to see too.
I’ve definitely been underselling myself on social media so I’ll have to up my prices there!
This is a really helpful blog post especially as I think I may underselling myself a bit here ha ha! This is really helpful for future reference. Thank you for sharing.
Lauren
You’re welcome! This post made realize that I’m underselling myself a bit too. I would never know if I didn’t do this post because not many bloggers are open to talking about what they charge
This is really enlightening for me as I am just starting to accept sponsored posts and sidebar ads. I really appreciate the research that has gone into this.
You’re welcome! When I first started accepting sponsored posts, I pretty much accepted whatever payment was offered because I didn’t know any better
