It is a new month, which means it is time for my monthly favorites and roundup!
Before I begin, I collaborated with the lovely Zineb over at Dear 4am for this month’s favorites post, so be sure to check out her February Favorites!
Entertainment
Sex Education: Season 2 of Sex Education was recently released on Netflix, and I watched it with my boyfriend. The season picks up where the first one ended and old characters including Otis, Maeve, and Eric return while new characters are introduced. I will not give any of the plot away in case you have not seen the first or second season, but I did think all of the love triangles were a bit much, but I enjoyed the series nonetheless. I recommend watching Sex Education if you like comedies and dramas that are focused on sex and relationships.

Planet Coaster: I have been wanting to play a rollercoaster simulator for a while now, and I came across Planet Coaster on Steam. I watched a few playthroughs on YouTube, and I knew I had to have it! If you have played any RollerCoaster Tycoon game before, Planet Coaster is similar where you build and manage your own theme park. There are different modes to play in including career mode that provides with you pre-established parks and you have to complete the challenges in that park. However, my favorite mode is Sandbox because you can create the theme park of your dreams with no limitations on money. In the future I would love to get some DLC, but for now I will enjoy the base game. I recommend playing Planet Coaster if you enjoy tycoon games.

La Danza by Branco and Gilli: La Danza is sung by two Danish rappers, and it is based on an old Danish song called Regndans (Rain Dance). The song is upbeat, and I like the chorus, which part of it is taken from the original song (withpermission from the original singers of course).

Beauty
The Body Shop Tea Tree Mattifying Lotion: I have been needing a new moisturizer, and I decided to try this one from The Body Shop because it is suitable for oily, acne-prone skin. The lotion absorbs quickly and does not make my face feel sticky. Also, the lotion helps keep my face shine-free, and it has helped in reducing breakouts. I would recommend this lotion if you have oily and acne-prone skin.

Rate: 9/10JSC Lip Ammunition in Glazed: I actually received this lipstick in my JSC Halloween mystery box, and I have been wearing it all the time as a lipstick topper like in my Sparkly Christmas Makeup Look. I have also used it alone in my Dragon Queen Makeup Look, if you want to see what it looks like by itself. Glazed is a gorgeous gold shade with pink reflects, and all of their makeup is cruelty-free and vegan, which is a huge plus! I definitely recommend this lipstick because it can be worn alone or as a topper to add sparkle to any lipstick.

Roundup
This past month has been rather busy with school, but on the 1st I had brunch with my boyfriend’s dad and his wife at Hundested harbor, which was nice. The 14th was Valentine’s Day of course, and instead of going out, me and my boyfriend made dinner. He made steaks and I made beet steaks for myself, and they were delicious! Besides that I have been finishing my research plan, which outlines what I want to do for my second-year master’s thesis. On the 22nd I took the train to Linköping, Sweden because the 23rd-27th was my last on-campus week for my master’s program (I will go for a day in August to defend my thesis). My master’s program started out with 40 students, and now there are only 10 of us left doing the second year, and only 8 of us were there during the on-campus week. It was great being able to see my classmates again, and it was nice that we were a smaller group. During the week we defended our research plans, met with our supervisors for our theses, attended lectures, and did a presentation. It also snowed while I was there! Also, my last course before my thesis course started during the on-campus week, and it is Children’s Health and Development in a Global World. It was a busy week in Sweden, and after coming back Thursday night, I spent all of Friday sleeping haha. On the 29th (yay leap year!) me, my boyfriend, and our daughter went to Ikea, and I picked up a few things for our apartment including a new lamp shade for the bedroom, a silverware set, and a couple of plant pots. That about wraps it up!

I love games like planet coaster, but my absolute favorite: Roller Coaster Tycoon. Ow the memories, it keeps crashing on my laptop, but I still play it every now and then. xx Manon | Bondi to Basic

Ohhh Sex Education is absolutely fantastic, isn’t it! I think every adult and teenager should watch it, it’s actually really educational in so many ways that school sex ed lessons aren’t. Those beet steaks sound delicious and sounds like you had a lovely Valentine’s day x

It is a great show & I agree! Since I went to school in Texas, we got abstinence-only sex ed. I remember the teacher having a demonstration about how ineffective condoms were by using a net & objects going through the holes…
