Anastasia Beverly Hills Norvina Palette Review

I received the Anastasia Beverly Hills Norvina Eyeshadow Palette as a birthday gift, and after using it on and off since then, I wanted to write a full review about it.

The packaging of the Anastasia Beverly Hills paletteThe palette includes 14 shades with 7 shimmers and 7 mattes. The shades include:

  • Dreamer: champagne with a metallic finish
  • Summer: gold with a foiled finish
  • Wild Child: duo chrome pink with a magenta shift
  • Rose Gold: rose gold with a metallic finish
  • Celestial: duo chrome plum with a violet shift
  • Dazzling: bronze with a violet shift
  • Drama: duo chrome aubergine with a bronze shift
  • Base: light beige with a mostly matte finish
  • Soul: medium purple with a mostly matte finish
  • Incense: light brown with a matte finish
  • Love: medium pink with a mostly matte finish
  • Volatile: warm charcoal with a matte finish
  • Eccentric: dark burnt orange with a matte finish
  • Passion: deep garnet with a matte finish

The shades in the Anastasia Beverly Hills Norvina paletteBefore I begin my review, you can check out my Christmas Makeup Look and my Halloween Makeup Look where I used some of the shades. First off I love the shade range from cool-toned pinks and purples to more neutral brown shades. My favorite shades to use on a daily basis are Love, Incense, and Dream. In general, the shades have good pigment, but the shimmers shades need to be built up or applied with a wet brush or a finger to get the most pigment especially with Wild Child and Celestial. There is a little fallout both in the pan and when applying the matte and shimmer shades to the eyelids, so be sure to apply your eye makeup before your foundation and the rest of your face makeup. Even though there were a few issues with pigment and fallout, I did not have a problem with blending the shades. With the Urban Decay Primer Potion, the eyeshadow lasted all day without creasing, fading or smudging. The Norvina palette has the same packaging as the Modern Renaissance palette with the full-size mirror and double-ended brush, which is great for traveling. The brush is also on the higher-quality side of brushes included in palettes, which is a plus. However, like with the Modern Renaissance palette, I despise the velvet packaging because it gets dirty easily and is difficult to clean. Compared to the Modern Renaissance palette, the Norvina palette has some issues with pigment and I experienced more fallout, but the Norvina palette has more unique cool-toned shades. The Norvina palette costs the same $42 as Modern Renaissance, and I think it is worth it if you like the shade range and do not mind a little fallout. Below you will find swatches of the Norvina palette.

Overall, the Anastasia Beverly Hills Norvina Eyeshadow Palette is a unique cool-toned palette with good quality shades, but a few of the shimmer shade are problematic and there is some fallout.

    1. I’ve tried both this palette & Modern Renaissance as well as their liquid lipstick & lip gloss. I love their palettes but not so much their lip products. The shades in this palette are definitely unique but wearable!
