If you did not know, last week I went to Sweden for my Child Studies master’s program. It was an amazing experience meeting everyone and I am looking forward to learning more and starting my thesis! With that being said, today is my 25th birthday! A lot has changed over the past year, and later this week or next I will do the final update for my 25 Things to Do Before Turning 25 post!
Since I have been rather busy last week, I have not had time to share my favorites for the past month, so I wanted to do that now. August has been a BUSY month with finishing my Front-End Web Development course as I mentioned in my Where I’ve Been + Life Update post, starting my master’s program, and going to Sweden for a week, but today I can celebrate me! Without further ado, my August favorites!
To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before (2018): I watched this movie on Netflix during my last night in Sweden, and it was so cute. I have not read the book, but now I want to. The movie and book are about a 16-year-old girl name Lara Jean who wrote love letters to the 5 boys she has loved and kept them to herself. One day the letters are somehow mailed and her quiet life becomes out of control. I loved the romance in the movie and the movie was funny at times but also serious. I would recommend this movie if you want to watch a cute romance movie or you have read the book.
The Death of Mrs. Westaway by Ruth Ware: I finished listening to the audio book earlier this month, and I will write a more in-depth review soon. I loved Ruth Ware’s book The Woman in Cabin 10, so I had high expectations and this book did not disappoint. The book is about 21-year-old Hal who is struggling to make it on her own. One day Hal receives an inheritance letter stating her grandmother died, but Hal’s grandma died 20 years earlier. Hal decides to pretend to be the long-lost granddaughter to receive the inheritance and finally have some financial security. I enjoyed the plot and setting of Brighton and Cornwall. I also loved the narrator because she changed her voice to match the characters. I would recommend The Death of Mrs. Westaway if you like mysteries and thrillers or you have read one of Ruth Ware’s previous books.

Take Me Out by Emma Blackery: I have not seen any of Emma Blackery’s YouTube videos before, but the other day I decided to check out her music, and I like it! Emma has a nice voice, and Take Me Out is an upbeat song. Emma also released a new album Villians on the 31st, and so far songs I like the songs!
Lipstick Queen Frog Prince Lipstick: This lipstick has been one of my favorites before, and while I was in Sweden I only wore it. The lipstick is a green color, but on the lips it becomes a rosebud pink shade. The lipstick is not transfer-proof, but it does leave a tint behind after fading. The lipstick is also moisturizing which is another added bonus. The only downside to this lipstick is that it is expensive, but it is a much better value if you can buy it in a set.

Rate: 9/10Ariana Grande Moonlight Eau de Parfum: I love Ariana Grande’s Ari perfume so I was excited to try her other perfumes from the 4 Piece Coffret. I have been wearing the Moonlight perfume this past month, and I think it is my new favorite. The perfume has a sweet feminine scent with notes that include:
- Top Notes rich black currant and juicy plum
- Middle Notes fluffy marshmallow and fresh peony
- Base Notes creamy sandalwood, black amber, and sensual vanilla
The perfume also lasts all day and it is great for every day wear or special occasions. I would recommend this perfume if you like sweet-scented perfumes or you like Ariana Grande’s other perfumes.
