It is almost the end of April, which means it is time for my monthly favorites post! Before I begin, I wanted to share that I got a 50% scholarship for the master’s program I was accepted into! You can read about my acceptance and other things that happened this past month in my Big News + Life Update post! Now for my favorites!
Entertainment
Hush (2016): I have been wanting to watch this movie since the premise sounded interesting, and I finally did on Netflix! This movie is about a deaf author named Maddie who lives in seclusion. One night a masked killer appears at her window and she must figure out how to survive the night. This movie had great acting, and I loved that it switched back and forth between the outside perspective with sound and Maddie’s perspective without sound. This movie is like your every other home invasion movie, but I enjoyed the added perspective, and I think it is worth watching.

A Series of Unfortunate Events: I have previously watched the first season on Netflix, and the second season was released at the end of March. I finished watching all of the new episodes, and I loved them! I read the books when I was a kid, so I enjoyed seeing them come to life. The actors who play the Baudelaires are perfect for their roles and I love Neil Patrick Harris as Count Olaf. If you have read the books or you like dramas and black comedies, I would definitely recommend watching this series!

Heaven by Avicii: I was so sad to hear about Avicii’s death, and it is just a reminder that mental illness can affect anyone regardless of wealth, success, age, etc. I wanted to share one of Avicii’s song for this month.
Beauty
Carven L’Eau de Toilette: I received this perfume in my March 2018 GoodieBox, and I have been wearing it almost every day since. This perfume has a fresh floral scent that is perfect for the Spring. The roll-on is also easy to use, and the perfume lasts all day.

Rate: 9.5/10Lipstick Queen Frog Prince Lipstick: I received this lipstick in my Another Ulta Haul, and Frog Prince is a green lipstick that changes into a rosebud pink shade with a gloss finish. This lipstick is moisturizing, but it is not long-lasting. However, this lipstick does leave a tint on the lips when it fades. The only complaint I have is that this lipstick is really expensive, so I would recommend waiting for a sale or buying a set with minis like I did.

Hush was a pretty good movie! But It got really cringey when she was in the bathroom trying to work the bow and arrow with her broken hand.🤢 Head over to my channel if you’d like to read my latest post!☺️💖 —https://emilyryannblogblog.wordpress.com/2018/04/29/a-z-of-emily-ryann/
