Empties #4

It has been several months since my last Empties post, and since then I have used a ton of products. Like with my previous posts I will review the product then decide whether or not I would repurchase it.

Batiste Dry Shampoo in Floral: I use this dry shampoo after not washing hair for 3+ days. This dry shampoo has a nice floral scent, and it makes my hair less oily without leaving any white residue. I do go through this dry shampoo somewhat quickly because it comes in a spray can, but I have already repurchased it.

Matas Grøn Te Bodyshampoo: This body shampoo has a nice green tea scent, and it lathers well in the shower. This body shampoo also cleans well and easily washes off. This body shampoo is at a good price for the size, but I would not repurchase it right now because I have another bottle in a different scent to use.

Matas Alt-i-en Ansigtsrens: This is an all-in-one facial cleanser that removes eye and face makeup, moisturizes the skin, and stimulates the skins ability to regenerate. This cleanser removes all of my makeup and leaves my face feeling moisturized. This cleanser is at a good price, and I would repurchase it, but I have several other makeup removers to use first.

Soap & Glory Hand Food: I reviewed this Hand Food lotion a long time ago, and I finally finished the tube. This lotion has a nice scent that is a combination of fruit and flowers, and it absorbs quickly without leaving my hands greasy. I do have to reapply this lotion after washing my hands, but it does leave my hands feeling soft and moisturized. This hand cream does come in a big size, which I like, but it does make it difficult to take with me. I would repurchase this hand cream, but Soap & Glory is not available in Denmark.

Maria Nila Dry Shampoo: I received this dry shampoo in my November 2016 GoodieBox. I used this dry shampoo after not washing my hair for 3+ days. This dry shampoo made my hair look better and less greasy and there was not white residue left in my hair after I brushed it. I like that this dry shampoo is vegan, but it is very expensive for the size. I would not repurchase this dry shampoo because I went through it much quicker compared to the Batiste Dry Shampoo.

The Body Shop Spiced Apple Body Butter: I received this body butter in my October 2016 GoodieBox. This body butter has a nice cinnamon apple scent that lasted all day, and this butter also left my skin feeling soft and moisturized. I would repurchase this body butter, but this scent was limited edition and only available during the last winter collection.

The Body Shop Pink Grapefruit Hand Cream: I received this hand cream in day 22 of The Body Shop Advent Calendar. This cream has a strong grapefruit scent, so I do not recommend it for those sensitive to smells. However, this cream absorbs quickly and it is not greasy. I do have to reapply this cream after washing my hands, but it does leave my hands soft and moisturized. This cream comes in a good size that is easy to bring with me, but I would not repurchase it in this scent. However, I do want to try different scents.

Oblepikha Siberica Hand Cream: I received this hand cream in my January 2017 GoodieBox. This cream has a great scent and it absorbed quickly without being greasy. This cream left my hands soft and moisturized, but it did not last after washing my hands. This cream comes in a small size which makes it easy to travel with, but I would like it in bigger size because I went through it rather quickly. I would not repurchase this hand cream right now.

Tony Moly Strawberry Nose Pack: I reviewed this Nose Pack not too long ago. This is a 3-step pack that opens pores, removes blackheads, and closes pores. This pack takes 45 minutes to complete the steps, and it did not remove all the blackheads. Even though I liked the experience of using this nose pack, I would not repurchase it because it did not remove all the blackheads.

Tony Moly Changing U Magic Foot Peeling Shoes: I also recently reviewed these Foot Peeling Shoes. I wore these shoes for 2 hours and within a few days my feet started peeling. By 2 weeks my feet were done peeling and all of the dead skin was removed. Afterwards my feet felt soft and smooth. I would repurchase these foot peeling shoes again because I like that it removes all of the dead skin from my feet.

Garnier Skin Active Moisture Bomb Tissue Mask: I received this sheet mask in a giveaway, and I had a few dry areas on my face, so I figured this mask would help. This sheet mask is soaked in product, but it did not slide down on my face. This mask was also a little big, but I wore it for 15 minutes. After the 15 minutes, my face felt soft and smooth and was less dry. I liked the results of this sheet mask, but I would not repurchase because it is not cruelty free.

Leaders Daily Wonders Pore Gone For Good Mask: This sheet mask was in the Ulta Fresh Start Kit that I purchased as part of my Ulta Haul. This mask has a nice scent, a good fit, and it did not weigh down on my face. I wore the mask for 20 minutes, and afterwards the only difference I noticed was my face looked clean. I would not repurchase this mask because it did not have great results.

H&M Charcoal and Volcanic Soil Mask: This mask does not have a strong scent, and I could use it for at least 2 masks, but I used it all at once. I wore for this mask for 15 minutes and it dried completely. This mask washed off easily and my face felt clean, soft, and smooth. The next morning my face looked even better and the blemish I had was reduced. I would repurchase this mask because I loved the results.

H&M Witch Hazel Mask: This mask has a nice scent, and like with all H&M masks they can be used for multiple masks, but I used it all at once. I wore this mask for 15 minutes and it mostly dried. After I washed off this mask, my face looked clean and less oily and it was a little soft. I would not repurchase this mask because there are better H&M masks like the Charcoal and Volcanic Soil one.

Lush Mask of Magnaminty: I reviewed this Mask several months ago, and this mask lasts 3-4 months unlike the fresh masks. This mask has a strong peppermint scent, and I wore it for 5-10 minutes until it completely dried. After using this mask, my face looked clean, felt soft and moisturized, and was less red. The next few days my face looked clearer and less oily. I would repurchase this mask because I loved all of the results.

Starskin Glowstar Foaming Peeling Perfection Puff: I received this puff in my March 2017 GoodieBox. This puff is used by adding a few drops of water to the pouch which then lathers the puff. This puff did make my face look clean and feel soft, but this puff felt rough on my skin and it can only be used a few times before throwing it out. I would not repurchase this puff because it is too rough and expensive.

Patchology FlashPatch Eye Revive Gels: I received these eye strips in the Ulta Beauty Bag that was part of my Ulta Haul. These strips had a nice scent and were soaked in product. These strips were difficult to apply because they slid around when I tried putting them under my eyes, but they stayed put when I got them in place. I wore these strips for 5 minutes, but afterwards I did not notice any difference in the appearance of the skin under my eyes.  I would not repurchase these eye strips because they did not have any results.

Skyn Iceland Hydro Cool Firming Eye Gels: I also received these eye strips in the Ulta Fresh Start Kit that was part of my Ulta Haul. These strips are not soaked in product, but instead they were gel strips. These strips were difficult to apply because they stuck to my fingers, but once in place they stayed put due to the stickiness of the gel. I wore these strips for 10 minutes and they easily peeled off. After wearing these strips, the skin under my eyes did feel tighter, but I would not repurchase them because they are expensive were inconvenient to use.

Skyn Iceland Icelandic Relief Eye Cream: This was another sample that I received in the Ulta Beaty Bag that was part of my Ulta Haul. This eye cream had a cooling sensation when I applied it and it absorbed well into my skin. This cream did make the skin under my eyes feel moisturized, but I did not see any other noticeable differences. I would not repurchase this eye cream because it is too expensive and I did not notice much of a difference.

Soap & Glory One Heck of a Blot Primer: This Primer was one of my first reviews, and it is my favorite primer to use. This primer absorbs quickly and my makeup lasts all day while keeping my face oil-free. I have already repurchased this primer.

$14 at Ulta

Rate: 9/10

NYX HD Photogenic Concealer Wand in Fair: I reviewed this Concealer Wand a while back, and it is my go to concealer for the dark circles under my eyes. This concealer applies smoothly, blends easily, and provides full coverage of my dark circles. I have already repurchased this concealer in this shade.

Rate: 10/10

Nuori Lip Treat: I received this lip treat in my November 2016 GoodieBox, but I did not finish using it because it expired. However, I would apply this lip treat after I used a lip scrub, and it left my lips feeling soft and moisturized. I would not repurchase this lip treat because I felt like it had a fairly quick expiration date and I would have to use it multiple times a day to finish it.

185 kr / $28

Rate: 7/10

Too Faced Hangover Primer: This primer was part of the Too Faced Most Loved Set, and it reminded me more of a moisturizer than a primer. This primer has a coconut scent, which I was not a fan of, but it left my face moisturized and my make up lasted most of the day. I would not repurchase this primer because I do not like anything with a coconut scent.

$32 at Too Faced

Rate: 9/10

Garnier Skin Active Daily Moisturizer: I received this moisturizer in a subscription box a while back, and it made my face really oily at first when I applied it, but once it dried my face looked oil-free. This moisturizer did leave my face feeling moisturized and I like that it contained SPF. I would not repurchase this moisturizer because Garnier is not cruelty-free.

$14.99 at Ulta

Rate: 8/10

Paul & Joe Moisturising Foundation Primer S 03: I received this primer in a previous Marzia Subscription Box. This primer had a perfume like scent, which I did not like, and it seemed more like a moisturizer than a primer. However, this primer did make my face moisturized and my makeup lasted the day. I would not repurchase this primer because I did not like the scent, and I like using the Soap & Glory One Heck of a Blot Primer instead.

      1. I have the strawberry body butter too & I agree with you!
That scent does seem like it would smell nice 😊 I should go to The Body Shop soon! I haven’t been there in a while ha

  1. The Spiced Apple scent from The Body Shop is so cozy – I wished they had it all year round.
I’ve not tried the Tony Moly food mask before – I love foot peels! I just used the Skinfood one. 🙂
I have that Paul & Joe primer but haven’t tried it yet. Planning to save it for the winter months.
    Great job on the empties!
