I have received my April GoodieBox, and the theme was The Retro Box. GoodieBox is a Danish beauty subscription box, so the boxes can only be shipped to Denmark, Greenland, and the Faroe Islands. Each box costs 169 kr / $25 a month and contains 5-7 items worth over 500 kr / $73.
In my box, I received 7 items, but only 2 were full size. The items came in a black box and were wrapped in tissue paper.
Ooh! Oils of Heaven Baobab Face Oil: Ooh! Oils of Heaven is British brand, and this face oil is natural, organic, and cruelty-free. The baobab oil helps rejuvenate the skin, and the oil also absorbs quickly. I have not used a face oil before, but I am interested in trying this one.
190 kr / $28 for 30 ml
Matas Havtorn Bodylotion: Matas is a Danish brand of drug stores, and this lotion contains sea buckthorn. The lotion has a nice scent, and it is not greasy. The lotion also absorbs quickly and leaves the skin soft and moisturized. I love using body lotions, and I am definitely looking forward to using this one. Also, Matas is cruelty-free.
54,95 kr / $8 for 400 ml
Palmolive Camellia Oil and Almond Shower Cream: This shower cream contains camellia and almond oil that nourish the skin and leave it soft and smooth. The shower cream also has a nice scent, and I do use shower gels so I am interested in trying this cream out. However, Palmolive tests on animals.
39,95 kr / $6 for 600 ml
James Read H20 Tan Mist: James Read is a UK brand, and this mist is used in the morning and evening to build up a natural glow. The mist also contains rose water to soothe and moisturize skin, and the mist can be used with all skin types. I have already received a James Read Overnight Sleep Mask Face Tan in my September GoodieBox, and I do not tan, so I will not use either of these products. However, James Read is cruelty-free.
225 kr / $33 for 100 ml
Studio 10 Age Reverse Lip Liner (Full Size): Studio 10 is a UK brand, and this lip liner is double-ended. One end of the liner has a universal shade that defines and shapes the lips and minimizes feathering. The other end is a nude shade that lifts and plumps the lips. The lip liner can be used on its own or with a lipstick. The lip liner also contains coconut oil to hydrate the lips. I do not use lip liners with lipsticks, but I want to try this liner on its own especially since it has 2 different shades. Also, Studio 10 is cruelty-free.
200 kr / $29
Manna Kadar Fantasy 3-in-1 (Full Size): Manna Kadar is an American brand, and Fantasy is a nude pink shade with a shimmer finish. This shade can be used as a highlighter, an eyeshadow, or a blush. I like the versatility of this shade, and I am looking forward to trying it out as a blush and eyeshadow. Unfortunately, the shade cracked shortly after I took it out of the bubble wrap, so I am disappointed that it is so fragile. However, Manna Kadar is cruelty-free. I have also previously received the Manna Kadar Radiance Split Pan Bronzer and Highlighter Duo in my September GoodieBox, so I am interested in trying out these products together.
135 kr / $20
NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream: This lip cream is neither a lipstick nor gloss, and it applies smoothly and easily with the applicator. The lip cream dries matte, and it is long-lasting. I received the Copenhagen shade, which is a plum shade that I already own. I love these lip creams, but I would have liked to receive the Antwerp shade instead.
60 kr / $9 for 8 ml
Overall, I am disappointed that most of the items I received were sample size, but the box does have a value of 524 kr / $77. I am looking forward to trying out all of these products except for the James Read H20 Tan Mist.
