Tarte LipSurgence Gloss Review

I have bought several of Tarte’s lipsticks, so I wanted to try one of their glosses. I decided to buy the Tarte LipSurgence Skintuitive Lip Gloss in Energy from their website.

This lip gloss is unlike any other gloss or lip product I own because this gloss customizes to your skin tone. Even though Energy is a light pink shade on me, this gloss can be a lighter or darker shade of pink depending on your skin tone. When applying the gloss, there is a nice vanilla scent. The gloss applies clear then becomes the pink shade seconds later. The gloss is easy to apply and evenly coats my lips because of the doe foot applicator. From the swatch, you can tell that the gloss is sheer and it also leaves my lips looking glossy. However, the gloss also makes my lips slightly sticky, which is disappointing. Since this is a lip gloss, it does not last that long especially after eating or drinking. I have found that the gloss lasts about 2-3 hours without eating or drinking. The lip gloss can be paired with the Tarte LipSurgence Skintuitive Lip Tint for a more intense color, but I will personally not buy the lip tint because it is double the price of this gloss at $24. Tarte does have another Skintuitive Lip Gloss in a berry shade, and I would be interested in trying it out.  Overall, I love that the gloss customizes to my skin tone, but I do wish it lasted longer and did not make my lips feel sticky.
