Urban Decay Moondust Review

I have been wanting the Urban Decay Moondust Eyeshadow Palette since it came out, and my mother bought it for me before I moved. The Moondust palette contains 8 glitter shadows and a full-sized mirror.

The 8 glitter shades include:

  • Specter: light pink
  • Element: peach with pink sparkle
  • Magnetic: purple with blue sparkle
  • Lightyear: bright green
  • Granite: grey with multicolored sparkle
  • Lithium: medium brown with gold sparkle
  • Vega: medium blue
  • Galaxy: smoky blue-gray

I love the variety of shades, and all of them have great pigment. The shadows apply smoothly, but there is a ton of fallout and glitter ends up all over my face. It is possible to reduce the fallout by applying the shadows with a wet brush, but I definitely recommend doing your eye makeup first if you decide to buy this palette. The shadows can be worn by themselves or with other eyeshadows. These shadows blend will with shades from other palettes, but it is a bit harder to blend with the other glitter shades from this palette. The eyeshadows do fade and crease without a primer, but they will last all day and look great with a primer. The palette is also a good size to travel with, and I love the full-sized mirror. Besides the fallout, the only other con is that the palette is a bit expensive, but if you love glitter shadows I would definitely recommend this palette.Overall, I love the glitter shades, but I do wish there was less fallout.
