I have seen several posts similar to this, and I thought it would be fun to do especially with all the items I have been getting from subscription boxes. In this post, I will review the items I have finished using, and then decide if I would purchase/repurchase it or not.
Simple Micellar Cleansing Water: I mentioned this micellar water in my June Favorites, and I have finished my second bottle. The micellar water removes all my makeup including foundation, eyeshadow, mascara, and lipstick while leaving my skin feeling clean. I would repurchase this micellar water.

Soap & Glory The Scrub Of Your Life: I love using The Righteous Butter, so I figured I would try a travel size of this scrub. The scrub lathers up nicely, and it has exfoliating beads that help clean my skin, but it is not too abrasive. The scrub has the same original pink fragrance as most of their skin care (mix of fruit and flowers), which I think smells nice. After I am done using the scrub, it washes off easily. My skin feels smooth after my shower and I follow up with The Righteous Butter. Even though I like the scrub, I do not think I will purchase the full size because I get the same results by using just the butter as I do with using both products.

Briogeo Don’t Despair, Repair! Deep Conditioning Mask: I used the hair mask that I received in my June 2016 Birchbox twice in the shower and twice for 30 minutes outside of the shower. In the shower, the mask has a similar effect as the Tresemme conditioner I use for dry hair. Both the mask and conditioner leave my hair feeling soft and moisturized. Outside of the shower, my hair felt even better. The hair mask has a nice scent, which is great especially when leaving it in my hair for 30 minutes. I might purchase this hair mask, but I would only use it for the 30 minutes outside of the shower for a deep conditioning.

Whish Shave Cream with Vitamin K: I received this sample in my June 2016 Birchbox. I do not have darkened veins on my legs, so I do not know how effective this shave cream is on that aspect. Even though this is a shave cream, this reminds me more of a lotion than a shave cream when I applied it to my legs. The cream is somewhat effective while shaving, but I much prefer using regular shaving cream. The cream has a decent scent and it moisturizes my legs a little, but I still needed to put lotion on my legs after shaving. The sample had enough cream for me to shave my legs 3 times, but the price is too high especially since I do not have darkened veins on my legs. I would definitely not purchase this shave cream.

Balance Me Congested Skin Serum: I also received this sample in my June 2016 Birchbox. I used the serum for about two weeks after removing my makeup in the evenings. I have oily skin and the serum helped control my oiliness without drying out my skin. I also love that the serum is 99% natural, but I find the price a bit high. However, I would purchase this serum.

Pür Correcting Primer Hydrates & Balances: I received this sample from Ulta. The primer is much thicker than what I am used to, and it took awhile to dry for this reason. However, once it dried my foundation glided on and my makeup lasted the whole night out. I would not purchase this primer because I find the price too high, and I prefer the current primers I use.

Nunzio Saviano Anti-Frizz Sheets: I received 4 sheets in my July 2016 Ipsy Bag. I have used all 4, but I only kept the packaging of 1 for the picture. My hair often gets frizzy because of the humidity, and these sheets helped control the frizz at first. However, my hair went back to being frizzy after an hour or so. I would not purchase these frizz sheets because the results do not last.

Tarte Deep Dive Cleansing Gel: I received this sample from Tarte. The cleanser lathers nicely and it removes my makeup well. My skin feels both clean and moisturized after using it. The cleanser is also supposed to remove waterproof makeup, but I do not own any waterproof makeup to try it out with. I might purchase this cleanser, but I am satisfied with my current cleanser.

Nubian Heritage Coconut & Papaya Body Lotion: This is another sample I received from Ulta, and I was able to use the lotion once on my arms and legs. First off, I do not like anything that tastes or smells like coconut, and this lotion smells like coconut. However, that is not the worst part of this lotion. The lotion is greasy and it made my skin look and feel greasy even after 30 minutes. The lotion does not dry and if I touched my arm or leg, the lotion came off on my hand and made it greasy too. I could not stand how greasy the lotion made me feel, so after leaving it on for an hour I had to take a shower. I would definitely not purchase this lotion.

If you would like to read more Empties posts, I have these on my blog:
Empties posts are really fun, it’s nice to see people’s opinions on stuff.. Been saving up empties myself to do a post soon, it would be weird to just do it for one or two products. It’s a shame that the frizz sheets didn’t work that well though, they sound like something i would need. x

I’m looking forward to seeing your empties post! I wanted the sheets to work, but oh well. I know Lush has the r&b hair moistrurizer that helps with frizz, so hopefully I can try it out soon!
